Does seedling stage counts in the vegetative stage? This plants were germinated 12th September, went into pellets 14th of Sept. I've read people counting seedling up to 1 month and the start veg count. So would this be 8 or 6 weeks veg plus 2 of seedling stage? plants were topped twice mostly, with pretty much short internodes IMHO.
One galón pot till next week. pretty low budget so far, vegged with T5 shop lights and a couple Chinese 120w/150 qboards.started a 3 day hard IPM treatment before cloning everything next week and flip them. Sweet Afghani Delicious fast flower, Critical Orange Punch, Banana Blaze and one Hella Jelly in town. Couple Lemon OG Candy lost in there too. Perpetual project

PS: Thinking for a 10 x 10 , WITHOUT CO2: 3 x 315w CMH and 6 X 320w quantum boards lm301h from Meijiu. To gain some heat, UV and that something marvelous CMH does, thoughts anyone?

Some growers consider veg as soon as they break ground, some say after the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd week.
Honestly it's up to you, however you want to keep records.

For me, I keep records with a seedling stage.
I don't consider it the start of veg until I transplant out of the solo cups into their final pot.

I don’t count days anymore, just go by the eye.

You’re going to have a full tent. I wouldn’t go to much longer before flipping the first two weeks of flower there still vegging a bit.

I think of the seedling stage ending when three-bladed fan leaves appear. Nevertheless, I also don't count days or weeks. I go by how the plants are growing.

Same way I do it but I’m sure everyone does it different. In the end it doesn’t really matter.

3-4 weeks as soon as it poops out of the ground.but why do you care ia it veg or not you grow until you fill the floor then switch

Being in a hurry is literally one of the worst things that you can do when you’re growing weed man you really just let the need to let the plants do what they do pack on some size. It looks like you have plenty of room you want to fill that space in and get the most bang for your buck
Nice looking plants though
I never count seedling stage man I start counting from the day that it switches from seedling and is it hard veg, and growing with vigor.
Usually right at two weeks.
But I also usually veg my plants for a lot longer than most folks do sometimes 90 days. Hell I’ve gone even longer than that.
Never heard of that light maker before either and just know when it comes to these lights you get what you pay for it’s really worth it to go the extra mile in terms of your lighting. You know you for three lights purchased and to cover that space you could find you know something that will work a lot better for that space And not as many lights just my two cents good luck

For teaching purposes, yeah seedlings from helmet heads to 2 weeks. But in my mind there in veg from day 1. The only thing that changes for me now days in the grows are watering and lighting. And how I use Gaia Green through the grow. I don't have a clue about your lighting. I found HLG early on when they were in transition from Johnson Lights to HLG and have stayed with them. I like my tents tall and my lights bright and the control I have over them.

Day 1 8/23/24

10/23/24 Right plant is a runt. Should have culled it and focused on filling the tent with the left plant. :(

11/17/24 flipping to flower this Saturday at 16 wks since helmet head.

These were suppose to be small tiny plants. So I vegged them extra long to get as much size out of them I could. I should have culled the right one early on and reclaimed the soil. And spent more time growing the left one to fill the tent. As another member said. Getting in a hurry growing weed is a no go. Speed freaks don't grow good weed.

Enjoy your grow!!!

Thanks for the input! Not THAT into hurry, just trying to be one step ahead on the next stage, even though I'm so late! Still my doubt was cause I've never counted seedling stage as a whole month, I always considered as veg. Would a 7 x cmh 315w in "C" shape 10x10 tent be a great idea assuming NO A/C in a pretty stable 60 to 74 F variation temp in a garage? Instead of putting a heater to achieve +-72 / 80 F. With leds qbs? (I'm a *C grown )
Anyways, will build a scrog frame 3"cells , next week to veg 8 plants for a week or so in each

thanks for the input! Not really in a rush, what matters most is healthy and radiant plants, stil have a bastard around I can t get rid off, even though smashed a couple yesterday after a deep IPM spray with trishield from GH. Just tried it for the first time and felt it did wonders in one application, after insisting on a good neem oil but seems it's not that efficient. Can't tell yet which kind of bug is, that curls the edges of leaves and keep hiding from me. I'm starting deep 3 day Ipm pest control before starting to take clones of everything...?then I can think of a future. Thanks ya all, pardon my English 🎃. Life is good. What's your thoughts on 7 x cmh 315w displayed as a "C" Shape, leaving like a 3x 7 walkthrough, setting a 3.5x 10 scrog net in each side of the tent and join those two in the front. Feel like attempting to fill the tent with mainlining trained plants could be a potential disaster for cleaning and watering... might build a drip system, never tried that before... planning to flip on 3 or 5 galón guess will require drip irrigation in heavy flower. Think I went too far..... need a nap or two...Thanks again!!

If I had to go back to CMH, MH, HPS or any of that lighting I would not grow. Throwing all the old lighting into the bed of the pickup and going to the scrap yard was a wonderful day...

There’s nothing wrong with growing under halies/hps in truth if it wasn’t for the heat they produce I would go back to growing under them.

Might surprise you to know one of the mods here still uses them

LEDs are ok but there not great the only reason I use them now is because of the heat difference
Maybe in years to come something better more desirable will come along

lol bud we used to use street lamps 🤣

I've heard that once the plant has a full set of true leaves, (set of 5 leafs, not 3 or 1) it is leaving the seedling stage and entering veg.

I consider my plants to be in Veg after the 3rd node has a set of full leaves growing in...
