Hey all! I'm a noob grower of cannabis as well as the medium with which my main focus is: DWC. So here's the info on the grow so far and would love some help!

5 x 5 tent
6" 350 cfm exhaust fan
1 1000w hid mh/hps mag ballast (mh currently running 24hrs 10th day for all seedlings)
6 single 5gal bucket dwc systems w/ 10" net pots
Floratechnics "recipe for success" kit nutes
All buckets are aerated with medium air stones
Also have 6 in blackgold soil less mix 1 in 3 gallon container, others in smaller containers until transplanting is possible
3 maxi gom's, 5 pure afghans, a w.w x cheese, auto somango, and 2 sleeskunks, all 10days above ground.
Unfortunately they got mixed up in a horrible stoned transplanting accident (my patient had smoked some crazy chronic b4 helping out haha) so hopefully I tell the photoperiods apart.
Here are some pics so far: I have some light yellowing, was told possible iron deficiency. Currently all buckets are on veg nutes (1/3 suggested feeding i.e. 1gallon nutes diluted with 2 gal water). Want to make the best meds possible so all help is welcomed!

Welcome to the Farm us2004mc!
I've moved your thread to the infirmary so you'll get some help diagnosing your deficiency

Good luck!

First thing is back away from the nutrients! Dam those are babies and you don't give pop and chips to them. So first tip is your killing them with love, to much food to soon. Mix at a rate of 10% of what the bottle calls for on the label. Feed them this till they have 3 sets of leaves, the bottom round ones will fall off so they don't count.

when your looking for help you need to supply things like

Ph
Room Temps day/night
Nutrient strengths PPM if you have a meter. Nice to have so save up.
Nutrient temp
to name a few.

So change out your nutrients so it's 10% food not 33% and they will bounce back.

By the way you have picked the best way to grow for maximum yield but the hardest to master.

Peace

looks like your feeding the little ones in the cups, stop it your killing them. Next time buy a starter soil for them and just water. The other thing is if you use the transparent beer cups you can see the root growth and transplant when the cup is full. Putting plants into big containers when the roots are not ready is not the greatest for them.

Thanks waayne! And thanks woodsmaneh!, sorry I had another thread up where Imade sure to insert the ppm/ph. My current PPM 290-310, varies by bucket, then also, PH is about 5.5-5.7, my ph meter's bulb broke, so I'm using the old back up GH pool ph method. My new ph meter is being shipped as we speak. Temp: in tent: 76-78° water temp: 58-62° . I will definitely dilute, and wait for results! Thanks a bunch.

Ok., so today, I did a bit of changes. I have all 6 buckets changed out. At sets of 2. I also received a tip about having them in the rock wool as well so I removed 2 from their cubes and put directly into the hydroton. Those 2 have a ppm of 35-40 /sugar daddy and root tech. Ph is at 5.5-5.8. Second 2 bucketshave a ppm of 50-60 of veg nutes. Ph is 5.5-5.8 and the last 2 have PPM 75-80 ph is 5.5-5.8 andthey also are on veg nutes. Water temp for the 6 range between 58-63°F and day temp is avg 80° with a night temp avg of 73° (I lower the 1000w lamp a little to keep it that warm and turn down circulating fan as well) new pics in a few days. Thanks a lot for the help woods!

Awesome! Even the worst of the worst is bouncing back! (First photo) still some yellowing on the others, Ihad sets of two with ranging ppms low side of 35ppm and high of 112ppm. So far the best response has been the mid-40 to 50 ppm range.. ph= 5.5-5.8 (still haven't received my ph meter..so its the pool ph style test for now) last pic is the one that is at my highest ppm: 112 but is greening up nicely from leaf edges inward. May lower it though to expedite the process. Thanks guys, more to come soon!

I've run dwc with the recipe for success for about three years now. The first grow i pulled 6.5 oz off one plant!!! I personally don't add any nutes until i have about 3-4 sets of leaves, right now i would be using the root 66 and the green bottle of thrive alive b-1. Apply the b1 at a very diluted ratio!!!When my plants are young i focus on root development first I was once told they have to grow down before they can grow up, bigger root system means more nutes giving to the rest of the plants. I also have to say that i never went up to full rate biggest thing is learning your plants some strains dont like high ppms increase slowly once a plant is stressed it sets up back in many ways.Alright one last thing since ive just been rambling on but every other res. change was plain water to get and salt build up off. All of this is from my own trail and error so im not saying this works for every one but it did for me.

Cool thanks for the info, and especially since you have the experience w/ the brand I'm using. I def got a lil nute happy, was a tad impatient, the yellowing has been going away since reducing ppms to 35-50 ppm each bucket.
With rockwool... better to leave the seedling in it, or try and remove it w/o damaging the roots too bad?

* should there be a noticeable difference between autos and photos in the first few weeks? Some of my babies got mixed up unfortunately, and was hoping to identify as early as possible so as to be efficient for each plants needs. Thanks!

i personally i never grown autos but i would imagine they might show sex sooner. maybe looking up pics of the strain and try to find similarities in growth patterns between your plants and the pics. Just a thought but in no time they'll let you know themselves!!!

So, still having a problem. No RO filter yet, next purchase Imake for sure, but here's the info:

24-0 light, ph on all buckets 5.3-5.6, ppm.... my tap water is 30ppm off the get go, no extra nutes have been added to any buckets, all buckets have been cleaned therefore, Ibelieve all extra ppms come from the flush of the hydroton..so PPM: 38-54 (54 is the 2nd img left/right is newly transplanted from soil less mix). Water temp is 58° and temp at the top of the pots is 78°.. any suggestions?

even when u put clones in u need to hand feed them or put a drip feeder on it, cuz the roots wont hit the water for awhile....and they need water/food! its ez to add a drip feeder, just need another small sub pump and a few feet of 1/4 and 1/2" hose and a few stakes....plug it into a timer for 1-3 times per day and adjust as needed! or hand feed! lol theres many ways to skin a cat, but just make sure you got a healthy well rooted plant when u put it in the dwc...then youll have better luck..
