Hello folks. Been gardening for the past 8 years now. Just growing tomatoes, chilies etc in the Spring/Summer and cabbage, broccoli etc in the Fall/Winter.
Three years ago I grew a cannabis plant for a 'friend' of mine.
Now I'm hooked on growing cannabis.
This years 6 plants took a crap on me due to caterpillars damage.
I was on the look-out for the dreaded spider mite and never thought about the caterpillars.
Next time, I'm not going to plant them near my garden.

Caterpillars are the worst! Hard to fight them without degrading your herb.

Howdy and welcome to the Farm; sounds like you should invest in some Praying Mantis. Neem Oil at sundown also does the trick until they disappear.

Welcome to the farm! We can help you with those caterpillars. My regimen is alternating treatments of Bt and Spinosad, applied in the evening (if outside). Works very well.

Thanks indicabush. I do got Praying Mantis running around the backyard. Just that when the plants started flowering, I moved the potted plants closer to the house (security reasons) and away from the garden. I got 7 raised beds that I grow vegetables in.

I didn't want to apply any Neem oil at the time because I was told it could ruin the flaver of the buds this late in the season. So I spend many days and nights picking them out by hand. Just seemed it was never ending. I ended up getting rid of 4 plants.

@Papatutti ...too bad that you had to trash 4 plants, but I have used Neem Oil right up to the harvesting process and didn't notice any taste problems after a proper cure. Who knows maybe it's just me.

Yeah id suggest using BT spray, Neem Oil, and Spinosad in a three part IPM (integrated pest management) what was suggested to me when cats ate my outdoor plant..

Also a talented outdoor grower told me the cats breed every full moon. So you gotta spray BT on those night
