You might try watering less frequently. The texture and thickness of your leaves and the shape of your plant suggest over-watering. If you give the roots more of a chance to breathe, the plant will branch out more and be less compact. Just an idea.

Hi and thank you....yes, I water almost every day, alternating between plain water and water to which has been added a half dose of fox farm Grow Big....I give it a good drink one day, then top it off on the next, using soil meter to find dry areas....I will wait at least 2 days to water...the large leaves seem so very dry...my grow light (kinda weak Hydromars TS600) is 14-15" from plant, light schedule 18/6, humidity stays between 50-55, temp averages 22-24 celcius....it gets warmer later in the day, never has gone over 26.

What's your media? How big are the pots? How much water have you been giving each pot with each watering?

My pH is close to 8 in a few areas....I originally used bottled water, which i found out is a no-no. and probably caused alkalinitiness....and took advice to use distilled water... Would increasing its nutrients help? The soil is Ocean Forest and I have mixed up a half dose in gallon of water...i water with that, then water next time with only water. Perhaps it is time to feed a whole dose of the Grow Big nute? I also have the Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom products.

When I've run OF, I've had good results watering slowly to about 10% runoff, only when the pots get very light. With plants that size in pots that big, that could take a week or more. OF is peat based, but it has a lot of organic amendments in it which hold onto water hard. It's easy to over-water. I usually get 3ish weeks out of the nutes that come in a bag of OF. After that, I feed 600 ppms when the runoff ppms fall below 1,000/2.0 EC. Just what has worked for me.

You lost me at “After that, I feed 600 ppms when the runoff ppms fall below 1,000/2.0 EC. Just what has worked for me”. Also, i have been feeding only 2.5 weeks, half dose (1.5 tsp to 1 gallon) Grow Big, then plain water…is it safe to use whole dose and use it for every watering…?

I haven't used your nutes, so I can't say. A ppm/EC pen will let you be a little more precise when feeding. It's also handy for getting an idea of how much salt (synthetic fertilizer) you have in your pots. You can water to runoff and then then take a reading in the runoff water. If you track that over time, you can get an idea of whether your plants are keeping up with your feeding schedule (or if your feeding schedule is keeping up with your plants ).

its really early signs could have happened if your ph was out of touch but if more leafs get it or it get a stronger yellow you should feed.
do you feed cal/mag?
led lamps for some reason make the plant eat more magnesium, soo its allways good to have some epson salt or someother nute that has cal/mag.
maybe the nute your using has it.i havent worked with your nute is it a syntetic or an organic slow release...

Thank you, what does "do you feed cal/mag?" mean (green newbie, lol)

The product is somewhat organic but also synthetic..."FoxFarm Grow Big Liquid is a water-soluble fertilizer that contains 6% nitrogen, 4% phosphorus, and 4% potassium. It is designed to provide early stage plants with the nutrition they need for robust foliage and stem growth. To use, mix 2-3 teaspoons of the fertilizer per gallon of water." and "Fox Farm Grow Big Hydroponic liquid plant food contains earthworm castings, Norwegian kelp, and essential micronutrients. It's designed to promote vegetative growth in hydroponic systems".

Definitely agree with the over watering assessment. Not so sure about Mg deficiency.

I would, however, remove any lower fan leaves on or touching the soil.

No. As you water they will remain wet and could rot, inviting pests and disease.

you have to learn to water properly as improper watering can cause issues with nutrient uptake etc,..
that’s the most important thing to get right going forward,.
you don’t need to be ph’ing using that soil and nutrients,..
