Do you guys grow Comfrey? I have been googling a bit to find the English word for it.

I am steering away from commercial nutrition more and more and now I only use it indoors. I have been tempted to use a pk+ outdoors last year but I didn't and just used Comfrey (in addition to the compost and bone meal breakdown).

Comfrey (Bocking 14 sterile variant) has long ass tap roots and sucks up nutrition from deeper levels and you cut them down and use it for your crops. Potent stuff too.

In the nineties I was all hydrophonics and tripart and chizz like that, heating up my entire house with HPS's in the basement up in Scandinavia. Those were the days. Electrical meter spinning so fast I could hear it when I tried to go to sleep.

Nostalgia. I hear the Enter Sandman riff in my head. What an awesome album that was.

Anyway.

Since then I have drifted more and more into a lifestyle where men wear sandals and drive electric vehicles. A world where both women and men reject razors. And we grow stuff effing organically.

Less yield, yes, compared to my old stack about 15% less. I can't tell any difference in potency. And I can just grow 15% more weed.

My soil seems to have a crazy amount of nitrogen already so I try to keep the nitrogen content of my compost down. I use the same soil indoors and it just puts out leaves for months without anything added.

Nope! Never heard of it! But that doesn’t mean anything! Do you amend and reuse your soil from year to year?

Yeah, the soil I use was left on the property when I moved here 7 years ago. The old owners had used it for mainly tomatoes. I added rock dust last year and char the year before that, but other than that just compost. pH is a tad high but nothing dramatic. When I bring it indoors I bake it and add perlite and vermiculite. Next time I probably won't att add anything. The world is full of gravel, I don't need to pay for it Nah, but V and P has their benefits right but in fabric pots I don't think it would make much difference honestly.

I’ve heard Finland is the heavy metal capital of the world! Everybody listens to it! Must be being cooped up indoors for nine months out of the year!

Back in my musician days in the late 90's in a technical death metal band, we played in Helsinki in front of 1800 people opening up for Cannibal Corpse. Amazing show, and the after party was legendary!

Ah, the good old days. When I was playing on stage, and making less money than a street beggar. Suddenly, I remember why I decided "Hmm, I'd best find an actual career that pays.".

I went with a post harvest soil test, so I know what shape it is in and what amendments to use! Things can get out of whack after a couple of years! I don’t have any use for vermiculite, but I use a ton of perlite.

There was a fin here last year that grew autos outdoors on what looked like the tundra! I think he was in pots! Did OK! Hope he comes back this year!

It's not like going through Alabama in assless leather chaps. But when you pull over in Finland to get something and they hear you a swede, you feel the tension. Like my pal here from Texas talks about right now in stores and such here. The welcome chills fast when people hear your accent.

In Finland it's not like I betrayed you in the war 30 years before I was even born right. But yeah, this is how life goes.

We got this saying in Denmark.

"The only good thing about sweeden is that they have good neighbors"

I've been to Roskilde a couple of times. Did a dose of acid good for 7 people and made out with a security guard once. I like Denmark. In 2000 I was scared. I was with my 17-year-old girlfriend who we didn't know was pregnant at the time and Pearl Jam played and it was chaos man, people slipping around screaming, I think 8 or 9 people died, and I lost my girl. I found her after a while though and I had broken my pinkie. We didn't have cellphones and stuff and couldn't call each other or her parents or nothing and they were home watching on the TV what had happened and their daughter had gone "somewhere" with her junkie boyfriend with the tattoos. Shit what a weekend that was.
Other than that, all I know is Danes don't like swedes much in general

I don't think Norway or any of the Baltic countries do either. I lived in Thailand for a year though, and they absolutely love us.

Nah we like sweeds.
I think some thing some danish dislike about sweeden, was back in the days lots of sweeds came to denmark to drink because of the price.
And to be honest many didn't carry the drunkenness well.
But that was long time ago.
We actually have more hate between east and west Denmark.
Or should i say the west hate the east. Kinda tradition the inbreed from the country side got.
They even got a saying for people moving to their west part.
"If you like a friend then get a dog"

Just started growing comfrey a few weeks ago. Have 6 root cuttings growing now for transplant to the veggie garden and 8 more that i will plant directly in garden when it warms up. Great stuff, especially for making fpj. The small pots are pepper seeds, can't wait for spring!

Impaled Nazarene, Amorphis, and Raoul Björkenheim are my only real musica Finn references. I know more about the military end and well, they really really like to carve wooden dicks. I suppose that's individual though.
Welcome, come have fun. Nice pics! I didn't catch, are you in soil? Good bunch of soil guys here, I steal all my go to street moves from Spaulding and MikedIn. I kindaz use for spinal pain and cramping around it and kinda dealing with being permanently out of work. Lately it's mostly Kush mints crosses and a few autos in two tents with 4 each and 100w FS-LED.

Yeah, it's awesome and pulls phosphorus and potassium out of the ground. If you use urine/water 1/10 and nettle water through the spring and summer and use comfrey as is grows and stop the high nitrogen and switch to only comfrey there's your tripart right there.

I started looking into comfrey after being at an exhibition in Denmark actually about sustainable farming.

In a couple of years when I retire and get my scandi retirement I'll be able to invest in some cool stuff. I'll just utilize as much as possible of what I have around me as possible until then say what you will, but piss is cheap

This year I'm growing some white widows I got in Spain. Well, I have bought a lot of white widow seeds, and while they have been good I am chasing a dragon with those, I smoked it in the nineties and it was so amazing. I realize tolerance and age has happened and I am a completely different person today too, so I will probably never find the grail, but it's nice to have an obsession to lean on I suppose.
I tend to plant some autos too to get some early bud to smoke while I wait for the photos.

Waiting was never my strong side though, and I have a little tent

Welcome! I fear I’m quite a bit longer in the tooth than you. But we all have our white whales (widow) of youth to chase. Mine is the 70’s Humboldt skunk, been searching for 25 years and still haven’t found it. Sounds like you’ve got some primo soil! I was lucky enough to have great natural soil when I lived in Humboldt, most of the soil up there was pretty poor Pics when you can!!!

What does it cost to live in Portugal using the same standard as your Swiss residence? Asking for myself AND a previous poster .
I wish those who squak about leaving their home country would just do so. Quit yacking and go. Please.

This of course depends on your standards, I'd say you get around fairly well on $3500 a month.
