hey guys ,its benn a long time sine i have done hydro,went organic,while back,and got realy into preping soil with alot of super high quality bennys,they work wonders,but my ques is ive read alot of hydro units putting food grad 29% perox,whitch will wipe out all bacteria,do i not need them at all in hydro via the way roots r fed, it just sounds like i am missing a gap,just waisting my bennys, could somone give me some site into this situation. it would be appreatiated. kind123

You have to use one or the other i would use the bennificials. I use the fox farms microbe brew and kangaroots and have wads of beautiful white roots in my undercurent.

I use organic in soil. In hydro, the only thing I want living in my system is the plant. I run ebb and flow. If I grew bigger plants, and needed a large root system, I'd definitely use bennies.

I use bennies in my hydro setup, but I also don't use hydrogen peroxide as their is no need if you keep ur rez clean and at the right temperature. There is alot of debate on if salt based nutrients kills the bennies. From my experience although putting them in ur rez might kill some, u can tell a distinctive difference between goes where I have not used them and runs that I have. I also sprinkle some bennies in the holes in my cubes b4 I put the cuts in so I can ensure that the bennies go to work immediately. Lastly, I have noticed that different brands seem to work better that others. Not a fan of great white shits over rated and more expensive anyway, If ur going to use bennies look for white widow from humboldt nute its cheaper and works much better.

Go to Capulator's thread and read about using bennies in hydro. I ran a plant outdoors this year in a 22 gal. bin with just airstones and cap's bennies. Water temps were all over the place but the bennies kept the bin of water from going sour when it got to 95F outside and water temps in the high 70s. I'm sorry if i sound dogmatic but all farmers should quit buying shit like Great White, Zho, and all that other shit. You are not being ripped off you are just paying about 1000x too much money for an inferior product. Get the Root Pack and Foliar pack for hydro.
29% H2O2 will burn the shit out of you. I have a teenaged daughter and I have used it to dispose of impolite suitors. Takes about a day to dissolve the average teenaged boy. I get it at the hot tub store. 35% H202 cut down to 1/10 strength is 10 gallons of 3.5% H2O2 just right to sterilize your tanks. I will use the H2O2 after flush and inoculate with bennies after a couple days.(root mix). spray with ACT (foliar) as often as you can considering your RH. hope this helps. Just for perspective, my goal as a grower is getting the best tasting weed I can get without too much effort. As I get better at growing, my workload decreases, production does not increase, but it is getting tastier. Cap's FTW
