Growing medium: Weed soil + 1 year old compost + perlite + biochar + ash + cooked rice husks + perlite + azomite + lime + bat guano + seafood shells + peat moss+lava rock dust+red and green chilies. The chiles are a defensive move against bugs.
Seeds: Autoflower seeds from a single source (stand up please @Frankster) but they are different unknown varieties
Germ time: Put the seeds in water on Sunday and by Monday 100% were peeking out. In the germ water was small % of lava bean water
Lights: So much of what I've read says to keep the light at 24", but I have 2 blurple lights closer and one at the 24" mark. I have 2 CFL bulbs hanging at 24"There is a strip of blue LEDs which I added and I have a blue regular lightbulb that I might add because @Edinburgh said auto flowers do well in blue light.
I can add a Mars Hydro T2000 and keep it turned low if readers think this is a good idea. This year I moved the whole grow closer to the window and strung a wire to hang lights from. I still have the ladder but it isn't attached to anything so if I get tired of it I can take it away. This config can be taken down in a few minutes just in case.
Water: @DireWolf told me to use regular tap water which I am doing PH between 6 and 7 -- also have some stores of rain water. My plan like I did last time is to carefully transplant to2 gallon and 3 gallon containers and when things get too tight take some outside for more breathing room. Am picking up my custom-made drain pans tonight from the steel man and will install them instead of the current 'mess on the floor'configuration. I still have some other photoperiod seeds that I can germinate, but wanted to get these auto flowers off to a good start. Very much appreciate all thoughts and ideas and yes I washed down the room really well b4 beginning again.
Results; Planted on Monday and Tuesday and today being Day #3 I can see one little seedling raising its head.

So seedlings it's often beneficial to start under a blue leaning spectrum of light. This is because internode spacing is reduced with the R:FR ratio kinda being eliminated. And red leaning specteums in general increasing interior spacing.

But after a week or so you want to give them a full spectrum light to take advantage of maximizing photosynthesis. There are different receptors for varying spectrums of light and while blue is the most absorbed spectrum it's actually not translated into the most photosynthetic. This is because some of the photons are absorbed by carotenoids and not used for photosynthesis.

So actually red is the the most photosynthetically efficient spectrum. Does this mean red is all you should give?

Absolutely not you want to give a full spectrum to ensure that all receptors for light absorption are being use not just to maximize photosynthesis but to maximize the overall absorption of photons.

Believe it or not many think green is the least efficient and under low light intensity and a thin spindly plant with low density it is BUT.....

Under high intensity with a moderate to dense canopy its actually almost a close to red for photosynthetic contribution and higher than blue..... many will disagree with this and I'll wait to see if anyone can guess why that is or feel that thus info is wrong before I make my argument of why that is so.

Tldr: all spectrums are important and you will undoubtedly get the best results for a full spectrum.

Day 7 have the Martian dialed in at 50% and 3 feet away from the seedlings. Don't want to burn them. 18/6 27 degrees and sunlight during the day. 12 of 12 seedlings sprouted.

Day 11 and tomorrow is slow watering day no nutrients. No complaints time to complete all the 2-3 containers, the leaves are flat also a good sign

Day 17 autoflower grow...last night fed boiled egg water w/ 1/2 tsp epsom salts. No other ferts...To fim or top....that is the question. Putting biochar, clamshell dust, marine algae and more toasted rice husks into the repot bin...goal of having any and all repots from 1 mixture..26 degrees running humidifier starting today on 18-6 cycle

Dragon coffee; we get that occasionally. Mostly Sumatra these days; her and I are stuck on that one. I'll take Sumatra beans cooked from anyone. Drinking Starbucks breakfast blend currently, cause it was the only one on sale. All the prices are going up; and coffee seems affected somewhat. Usually we buy a few bags en mass when prices are low. Prices are going up here, no doubt. But I think well be alright, plenty food here in Seattle still. Maybe well have to start drinking off brand more. Peet's is good coffee brand also; but they are pricy too.

Yea, as you see them blowing up every day, try to ride that train brother. Keep your eye on stem strength, but I think you got that one under control by the looks, seems like silica isn't a problem where your at. Keep your 4:1:1 NPK ratio's in mind though veg, mostly nitrogen.

I see some of that leave edges turning up, but hard to decipher; just watch it, monitor if it's progressing or not. Sometimes the plant simply outgrows activity like that. I've been pushing a bit of calcium out of my tips with some of my sprouts this time around. But what I see there on your plants looks very minor.

I am concerned about those light colored centers, (yellowing) where the new growth is occurring. Looks like the beginning of Sulfur deficiency, perhaps. Could simply be camera coloring, but unsure. This can cause major, major problems. Especially with new tip development. Mix a tsp of epsom salts, and give them a good spray at night, that will help. Also, keep giving a bit of your egg water (you can even spray it on, perhaps) Just make sure it's not too concentrate. 1 tsp max per quart or liter should be fine.

So far have moved 3 female plants outside to make more room inside. LST for the biggest plant inside is happening. Have the outside plants staked against the wind...plants seem ok and are bushing out and getting taller on Day 31

Gave the outdoor plants names and milk before their bedtime. Inside plants got water with marine algae ( smelly!) AND threw out 1 male named Larry. Great winter weather continues...

I saw this in two of the outside plants where the center of the plant is yellowish. I will get on that one tonight and also spray a couple with the glycerin/mint oil inside and out. Have hot sauce from our seafood vendor diluted and watered outside, + human urine keeps the cats out of the backyard. December 23 will be darkness time and then flip for 48 hours in darkness. -- same as what I did last time with the halloween costumes wrapped around the ladder. If its not broke then we won't fix it again. You had me pegged right away as a big crutch builder -- and that is the part that can be really fun with all the bamboo in my yard. I have a cordless drill, something I've always wanted and worth every dime in that type of project -- like adding the wine corks in to make the bud supports -- it is fun and supportive of the overall goal. The weather here is spectacular and supposed to get cold again today and tomorrow. It was 32 yesterday and in the PM the sun was strong. 25 degrees and turn down to 24 degrees at night.

Outside light is full spec witch has red and ir in it, it can cause autos to flower prematurely that is why yield on autos is less outside, autoflowers like blue light and do much better under it.

week 2 of flower some nice internode development and added 2 cfls and 3 blurples for side lighting. Going to uppot the plant in the small brown pot...waiting on soil in the mail. Added aminos and extra organisms to the water...I will also look at lowering Ph, and checking soil. Dont want to get complacent. The autoflowers are at 69 days and could be finishing soon -- sticky icky...Lasagna for the munchies
