Hoping to get some good recipes posted.

What's your secret sauce?

Break it down, base and adds, veg and bloom, week by week, ml to gal.

Live res, no real rez changes, only top off and add-backs. Never go above 800-900 ppm. Allow for pH swing anywhere between 5.2-6.7. Anything outside of that range, and there would be a need to either adjust or change the solution, depending on the plant/root health. I am always messing with my recipe, going for full flavor, playing with organics.

10 week strain:

Week 1-2:
H&G Aquaflakes A&B
Root Excelurator
Drip Clean
1/4-1/2 tsp per gal of MgSO4 (Epsom Salts...depends on the strain, ECSD loves this!)
Multizyme
Hygrozyme
EWC Tea
Sprinkle of 10-10-2 Guano
Sprinkle of Great White or other hydro-friendly myco supplement

700-750 ppm

This kind of helps jump start em right after transplant!

Week 3:
H&G Aquaflakes A&B
Root Excelurator
Drip Clean
Bud XL
650-700ppm

If plants are stretching too much, 0.5 mL per gal of Bloombastic, if that!

Week 4-5:
H&G Aquaflakes A&B
Root Excelurator
Drip Clean
Bud XL
CalMag+
Bloombastic 1mL per gal
700-800ppm

The Bloombastic is the only thing that causes pH swing around this time, thats why I don't add it at recommended strength. The live cultures in Bloombastic seem to like to drop the pH, but don't worry, its not root rot, you just need to reinforce it with epsom salts and/or calmag as a salt buffer, and then a live culture that raises pH, like the ewc tea, aquashield, etc. If ya feel the need, dump the res, or just pH up with Silica, and add Root Excel.

Week 6-7:
H&G Aquaflakes A&B
Root Excelurator
Drip Clean
Top Booster
CalMag+
800ppm

Week 8:
Dump 2/3-3/4 of res, fill with clean water, adjust pH
Hygrozyme
Drip Clean
EWC Tea (very little)
350-550 ppm

Week 9:
Flush with Drip Clean, sometimes a little bit of Hygrozyme
150-250 ppm

Week 10:
Flush with only clean water
0-100 ppm

When doing a live res with no change-outs, Aquashield and Root Excel are your friends. I run it a bit longer than recommended, but it helps level off pH and keeps roots white & healthy till the end! I left out the Aquashield because I have been playing with or without it using the H&G line. I still prefer to add it, but it seems if I just add a few drops of Root Excel with every other top-off, add back...so peak bloom, around every 3-4 days, I get the same effect! I'm trying out a new bacillus source, called "Companion for Hydro". Its a bit thick and gunky, but supposedly made for hydro, and hella-concentrated....1 oz to 30 gals. Also, going to try adding Earth Ambrosia & Earth Nectar from week 1 at 1/4 tsp per gal each, and keep running it through until week 8.

+Rep for both BudGoggles and Green Mopho. That pretty awesome sharing their recipes like that. Thank you fellas.

Anybody else willing to share exactly what they use. It's really nice to see what everyone uses, especially for those of us who are new or about to take the UC plunge. Don't hog your knowledge, knowledge is power.

Week 2-5:

Bring ppm to 800-1000

Canna aqua flora A - 6ml a gallon
Canna aqua flora B - 6ml a gallon
Advanced N. Big bud- 4ml a gallon
DM ZONE- 1ML A GALLON

WEEK 6-7 AND A HALF:

Bring ppm to about 650-750

Canna aqua flora A - 6ml a gallon
Canna aqua flora B - 6ml a gallon
Advanced N. Overdrive - 4ml a gallon
DM ZONE- 1ml a gallon

I use mostly General hydro and Advanced nutrients lines

Vegging
P.h - 5.5 - 6.0
water temps -64-68

General Hydro 3 part - 1.1.1 - 5ml gallon
B 52 - 8 ml gallon
Mykos - 1 tsp gallon ( every 3weeks)
Bio Root - 1 tsp gallon
Diamond nectar - 8 ml gallon
Cam-mag - 1 tsp gallon
epson salt - 1/4 tsp gallon
Carbo load - 1/4 tsp gallon
Super Thrive - 1 drop gallon

First week 350 ppm go up 100 ppm a week until I hit 550 ppm

Foliar spray age old sea kelp once a week 1 tsp gallon

Flower

Vegging

General Hydro 3 part 1-1.5-1.5 - 5ml and 7.5 ml gallon
B52 8 ml gallon (only after the first 2 weeks)
Mykos 1/2 tsp gallon ( every 3weeks)
Bio Root 1 tsp gallon
Diamond nectar 8 ml gallon
Cam-mag 1 tsp gallon
epson salt 1/4 tsp gallon
Crarbo load 1 tsp gallon
Super Thrive 1 drop gallon
Bud Igniter - 8 ml gallon (only first 2 weeks)
Senzi Zyme - 8 ml gallon
Rhino skin - 8 ml gallon
Big Bud - 8 ml gallon ( start after 2nd week )

Start at 600 ppm an go up 100 ppm a week stopping at 1000 ppm

Foliar spray age old sea kelp once a week 1 tsp gallon ( until week 3)

I always try to keep my Ec's around 1.6-1.75 for easy nutrient uptake

I do a half water to full water change every 2 -3 weeks depending on how much they drink. Filling the system with fresh ph water and running it 2 hours in the dark cycle. Seems to be working fine.

Still haven't decided on my flush schedule yet.
Maybe I will find a good one on this thread

I was having some mysterious root problems and could not figure it out. After talking to a buddy who had just bought a couple 16xls have the exact same issues. He ended up selling the systems to a friend his friend ran triflex with great results then he gave DMgold a try and bam same issues so he went back to triflex and everythings all good.
I really like fact that the triflex has all the goodies you want in your nutes in one nute.

Sharing is Caring (unless its an STD).

Really curious about Ionic and Heavy 16 with boosters, etc.

I am not an expert, my first UC grow in fact. I am having great success with Ionic Grow at about 400PPM and cal/mag at 1.5ml per gallon with ro and I add aquashield at about 7-10ml per gallon. Really lush green vegetation.

When flower time comes I am going to use Ionic Bloom, Big Bud, Overdrive and Aquashield. I will keep everyone updated.

I was discussing nutes w/ a research guy from Canna and he said Ionic contained lead. I ran a few great crops with Ionic way back before there 1 billion companies selling/hyping nutrients and I found it to be a no frills solid formula. But damn..lead!

My first experience is a complete fuckin disaster. I think if you using the 8 gallon system you need to choose wisely on the strain you want to grow. I went with my patients choice which was White Widow Max and the root growth has packed the buckets like wet bricks. The water return is almost non existent and as of today, 10 out of 12 plants are dead.

I vegged in them for a week after using flood tables to get them going and put H&G Algen extract in,what a mistake. It caused algae to actually grow, not root rot but root snot. I flushed several times but over a month the plants went from beautiful to shit-dead.

I think the system works but for me, I needed 35 gallon buckets as the root growth was explosive to say the least. When removing the dead plants the roots were packed just like 8 gallon bricks. There is no way they could breath. I think I'm gonna go off and cry for a while again...

It seems like a lot of people like to use root excelerator type of products in the UC, but since the roots grow so fast anyway, maybe those products aren't such a good idea?

All it took was one phone call to HydroDynamics and they told me NO their products contain no lead. Sometimes its just so simple to decipher fact from fiction with a simple phone call rather then taking a competitors word for it. They even provided me with a handy link.

http://www.regulatory-info-hd.com/

The chemical symbol for lead is Pb just so you know.

Just got my UC up and running today. Gonna test out the flora nova series since its simple. There are so many additives and what not that it gets confusing. maybe after a few runs with the floranova and bloombastic for flowering i'll dip into the more complicated recipes listed. I'll let yall know how it goes! Thanks to all that shared your recipe. bookmarked this and will probably copy one of em eventually.
