What kind is everyone using? I aready bought the wrong rooting gel and don't want to do it again.

Many of those in the know tell us that there is little difference in rooting compounds.
So your mistake count is currently zero.
I am new to this game too, but have already grown skeptical about the common lines of nutrients. Too expensive. And MJ is not that special a plant that they require a dozen special bottles of juice.

If you are just starting out I would recommend using simple one part nutes to get familiar with growing before graduating to more complex mixes.

Pure Blend and GH Flora are both good places to start.

Cheers

I am on my first run and so far I am having great results using Canna line Aqua Vega A&B for my veg and now am using Canna Aqua Flores A&B and other Canna products for my Flower. They have a great grow chart on their site.

'wrong' rooting gel how? (hint: you can still use the higher concentrations even though they say they're for hard-trunked plants, i usually double dip my babies in gel and roots powder #2 or 3)

when clones don't take there are dozens of factors i'd be considering before the rooting hormone. ask me if you have specific questions - clones were my bread and butter for a long time.

as for nutes, my advice is to supplement whatever system (or one parter) you end up going with, with "superthrive." it's been recommended to me by (among others) romulan joe, sister icee, and jeff tek (late-michelle rainey's hubby) and no wonder why, either, it's great.

i like olivas for cloning gels
if you looking for cheap nutes, go general hydroponics 3 part
throw in some powder koolbloom if you want a finisher to go along with it
and if you think this is to expensive
check out these

and i think mj is a very special plant
havent tried smoking alot of other plants but i dont think anything hits the spot quite like it

I bought clonex gel I was told it didn't do well with MJ. I bet everyone can't tell I am just fixing to start my first grow. Thanks everyone.

just out of curiosity, at what stage in your first grow are you intending to use said clonex? (which is just fine for cannabis, btw)

ive used the clone x in the past and didnt have a problem with it
still got it laying around somewhere actually......

Dip N Grow Clonex gets mostly good reviews from my circle but I dont use it because of the warning on the bottle(use gloves etc....), if it aint good for my skin, I dont want my ladies using it, but thats just me always being too stoned. Cheers

This is all very subjective but I am using Dyna-Gro right now and don't have a bad thing to say about it. It has all the micro and macro nutrients MJ plants require, it's incredibly stable (I haven't pH'ed my res in over 2 weeks, it's still 5.8), and it's stupid cheap. I've never seen such pretty looking plants as I have with DG.

I don't use rooting compound any more, cuts grow roots just fine on their own. A good substitute for rooting compound is aspirin without coating; grind it into a powder and dip the cut.

I've tried many popular commercial nutrient line-ups, and in my environment, Cutting Edge Solutions have seriously outperformed all others. I use their 3-part and 3 supplements. The only supplements I use besides CES is Rooters Myco and Budswel Guano (during weeks 3-6).

Since switching to CES almost 2 years ago, I've seriously neglected my ppm and pH meter, as I find myself not needing them. CES buffers pH so there is no need for up/down, there is zero salt build-up, and the end results are by far top notch.

ive seen on here some one talk about a spray product with purple in the title??? what is it please

many thanks
