nyc haze or piff

we always called that haze that was kinda leafy and smelled strongly like haze but didnt quite have the haze high fla haze. it was in the most derogatory of ways. it certainly wasn't the piff.

i smoked some black haze about 9 years ago or so, that was some knockout crazy strong shit. loved it.

what i REALLY miss is that piney/hazy spicy shit that used to seem to be around all the time, and i havent really seen in a few years. fucking LOVE that shit. chunky piney spicy love. find me that, im thinking its a selected nl/haze or something, had a good all around mind/body high.

me and my buds chipped in for a half pound of piff few months back 3100. it was the same stuff we used to get but it was way more airy looked like they chopped it early and we got a couple of seeds. i dotn know were they are now. if i remeber right the hairs were a brown almost moroon color, the smell was there too just not as strong. but once you blazed and L the whole club was like who got that piff.

I got some puday seeds in the stash, I got em outta a p I copped from my Dominican homies on 200 and Post back around 1999. They came from a batch of the real deal green and gold puday which they mostly kept for "blockwork" and sold gram 20s of in the hood but since I knew some peeps they would always bless me with the best!
Anyways I managed to hold on to em since and will be popping as soon as I get my new spot which I will be using for breeding along with some other goodies I have held on to over the years.. One of my goals is to bring the NY Haze out in seed form so everyone can enjoy it! Wish me luck

lucky you smart also not common to find viable seeds in our haze mostly white premature .that year was also a great period of much high quality uppies, frank was around more often back then

no doubt bro, Thanks I will def keep u posted and make a thread as soon as the time comes. Like u said the haze from a few years back was way better now the majority is real stringy premature and watered down so it will be nice to bring back that Franks/Puday haze that was around b4 all this "piff" bullshit.
btw yeah these are some nice dark healthy lookin beans so I dont think germing will be an issue...

well your right its just a new slang for the uptown haze, but I'm referring to the haze that was around before cats started calling it piff which tended to be alot nicer as far as I've seen. Dont get me wrong I'm not saying theres not some good "piff" but the older relatives such as Frankies and Puday where def stronger.

well the same thing happened in london on the commercial circuit people picked the quicker phenos and cut it early so the quality of haze seemed to go down but if you selected a good pheno and cut it on time you get that outstanding haze shit

93? Thats def interesting, didnt know it went back that far... I first started hearing about and burnin the franks/puday around 98' 99' when I was still in school and before that we had stuff like Branson, Pepperhead/Tyson...
And yeah the seeds are from the Franks/Puday era so they should be of that quality

as far as i kno he was the man n they tagged that name to his product ,but wat was it ,haze ,kush type i understand high quality ive heard of prices like 500 -600 for branson .another strain wit fame notorious BIG even rapped bout it

2 be honest I was pretty young at that time myself I'm 23 now so in 99' I was just a youngin about 13 and wasnt quite the cannaseur I am today but I just remember the Branson being a popular high grade strain at the time amongst the older cats some shit called "Wood" too, as far as the haze a dominican homey from my middle school turned me on to it since he was getting it from his cousins so thats how I got my connect and basically started grinding...I started blazin at the tender age of 11 but at that time it was mostly mid-chrons etc... Till I got introduced to the finer herbs like the pepperhead which I wanna say was some sort of hash plant but cant say for sure. I can def agree with you that there is some Nevilles in the uptown haze, I'ma talk to some ogs from around the way and see what other info I can gather... Another strain that usta be around when I was a bit younger in NY that I miss was the Elvis, picked up some D-king (Elvis X Underdawg) a while back from Top Dawg so hopefully I'll have that back in my life as well.

whats the closest representation to nyc haze in seed form?

i can now speak from first hand experience

the farm is my fam soo ill drop this here first,i would hav reported this last night but durin church ur not suppose to make noise or be loud lolz

neville haze is the closest ive com to anything that resembles nyc haze
soil grown organic

smell= st8 incense wit an almost fuel pungency stanky

taste =incense dark spicy did i say incense ahhhhhh

im like a kid at christmas

me n my bro were like cheech n chong ,iron lung ,smoke wit da best of emm. my bro quit smokin almost4 yrs ago due too a financial opportuinty .but every once in a while he gets the urge especially if it brings bac a memory/somthin special i told him ill hold a nevs nug till wenever he is ready to smoke this is somthin he has to expeience

there is no doubt in my mind that nevilles haze has som connection to our nyc haze .im not goin to get into how? why? but i grew up on nyc hazes hundreds n nevilles haze is the only haze ive smoked to date that could pass for uptowns ,neva did i taste a haze like neville in the dam coffeeshops cannabis cups nothin

so wether it was 1969 nyc stock that nev collected or sams gave nev seed n breed the best flavors to exist in cannabis out of it i dont kno,but taste n effects r both too similar too not have som of the same genetics

now wen i tlk neville i feel like its a coz or somthin becaz im soo familar wit it its crazy scary actually

I got some Mr.Nice Nevilles beans myself waiting to get popped... and yeah outta everything I've came across def the closest to puday so far, Think I'll do the Nevs side by side with the 99' NY Haze beans I got to see how they compare and contrast.

Man this thread is bringing back memories. You could go to 20 diff blocks in nyc and each one would have purple haze, diff batches though. Dank shit. Im a everyday kush smoker and piff from back in the day like 99-03 was on kush level to me. Every 2 hits got you higher. Man I'd pay crazy prices like what some of cc and raskal's gear goes for some genuine nyc purple haze beans!!
