Fewer laws have been passed during his presidency by this congress than in the last 65 years. If you knew the FIRST thing about government, and our constitution, or how the economy works (constant legislation required to balance it)--then you'd know that he wasn't left much of a choice in this regard.

Not as long as there is a patriot act to supersede it. . . Latest news I read is the police want the go-ahead to monitor emails of anybody for any reason and without warrant or even a reason. POLICE, not feds. Local fucking bonehead cops. Nobody's communications are private anymore. I don't think the height of the soviet era came close to the level of monitoring that goes on in the USA now. Reezy speaks the truth when he says we are the ultimate slave society. TPTB figured out that letting people pursue their own enslavement under the guise of freedom was the best way to do it. We're free to choose how we want to live, as long as it is what they tell us and allow us to do.

Couldn't agree more! The majority of the US society is asleep at the wheel. For the people, by the people is long gone! Bunch of sheep that think they can just go to work every day, pay their taxes and go with the flow and the government will work everything out. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We keep sending our hard earned tax dollars to a government that uses it to enslave us, throw us into prison cells and line their wallets with cash..We as Americans(and as a world for that matter) are on the fast track to complete destruction. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. It wont take much for the immensely fragile and delicate gears of society to break. But as such, we are so brainwashed and deeply embedded in our comfort zone that we wont do anything about it until nothing can be done. We'll just keep sipping our triple mocha latte's, watching our X Factor and sitting on our couches even as earth plummets into the abyss...

Or maybe I'm just a nut ball with to many guns and a tin foil hat that is on just a bit too tight....

I can only think about this shit in small doses now. It's just too depressing otherwise. Seems to me like I barely missed the cutoff for having a goddamned brain. If you're around 30 right now, you probably caught some of the actual healthy society we had in the late 80's and early 90's and noticed the shocking change after 9/11. Born much later and you take for granted the post 2001 America which is an abomination. Or do I mean an Obamanation? Either way. But seriously I hope those benevolent aliens or whoever are watching and are going to intervene because this herd of lemmings called the USA has reached the edge of the cliff and started to plunge into the sea. There might be time to reach over the cliff and grab some of us by the scruff of our necks and haul us back to safety, but we can't do it ourselves. That's just not the herd mentality to fix anything it's all just nihilism. I've said that only a real shooting war type revolution could save the country, but there is no way that could be instigated. TPTB know the only thing that could set that off would be an outright door to door gun grab, so they won't dare do that. Without the trigger, there will be no revolution. Even a complete financial collapse will only lead to people pushing themselves DEEPER into the trap by rushing to their local FEMA camp or whatever, for government to bail them out. Financial collapse will not suddenly wake us up. IF YOU'RE NOT AWAKE NOW YOU ALREADY DIED IN YOUR SLEEP. Best case scenario is the sheep just go to their pens after something terrible happens, leaving the rest of us to fend for ourselves and build something new from the ground up, one garden and water well at a time. Only the people who can provide for themselves are going to remain free is how I see it now.

Freedom, in regards to the U.S., has and always will be an illusion. One can easily see this with a little bit of traveling and an open mind. Question I have is do Americans truly desire freedom?

I certainly do not have as spirited of an opinion as many who have posted here. I hope we all realize that first and foremost we need election reform. Or even no presidential election at all. The amount of monies spent is sickening. Until we achieve 3 or more (real) parties it is pointless to continue with this broken process. Here is a scattered coffee addled thought... If maybe, the parties had there own primary every four years. Groom the appointed winner to take office the following four years. Then every other term each party runs the country. A mandatory one term, limit for the party. Keep the senate and house elections as they are with new term limits enacted.

When given the choice between security and freedom, when it comes all the way down to the very bottom line, most people choose security. And then, Ben Franklin's words come to haunt us; 'Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.'

I choose liberty. It's hard, it's a struggle, it's a pain in the ass, you have to put up with really stupid people, and you have to study. Guess that's just too much for most sheeple.

Did the "greatest generation" really sacrifice for freedom? That is debatable. WW2 was something we shouldn't have been involved in, and gave birth to the military industrial complex and nuclear weaponry. Personally I think the greatest generation are the ones who fought against the british to establish America as its own country. . . Everything after that has just been politics sacrificing a large portion of our men for dubious purposes. Many soldiers are noble people, who are sadly ignorant about what they are fighting for. It really pisses me off now when people say our soldiers are somehow protecting our freedom. That's bullshit, if they were protecting our freedom they would be here at home launching an assault on washington DC.

This happens every time a president is elected. Happened for Bush 2 twice, reagan, bush sr. etc.

All this proves is that a significant portion of Americans don't get how this politics thing works.

Yeah, Mississippi, you can secede. We'll see you next week at the invasion of your "country."

LMFAO, dammm,, Squiggly I think someone needs to remind people what happened when president Lincoln decided a particular state ought not to succeed due to it's military importance.. Well I guess the US wouldn't see any military importance for a state or two trying it on their own, and hell i'm a ron paul supporter, but that is a nutty idea.

Be funny though calling the bluff, seeing the faces when our military drives and flys out, lol. They won't have to worry about and federal workers in their country. lol "we don't need your stinking federal highway money, well make our own" No federal Education money, on and on. Then hand them their bill for the portion of our debt. LMFAO It's real funny about the states that suck so much more money from the Fed govt, than they put in with taxes, are the ones complaining about mooching, their industries of corporate welfare on down the line.. Must be those liberal states...LMAO

Dang im heading for that utopia, my flintknapper friends from Alabama and Missouri sure hate when I tell them that.

Respect, sav.

I'm sure that incident SUCKED....but at least the lady had the indecency and audacity to say it to your FACE.

Some tire of the "race card".....I tire of the closet racism that is so very, very prevalent in our society today. It used to be that the ignorant would wear their racism right upfront, exhibiting it through action or speech without fear.

These days, however, there is more of a practice of HIDING the racism....veiling it in any/all thoughts...but still putting it out there fully. You can feel it when some folks speak about our President. Nothing he can do is right. Everything he has done is wrong. Everything that has happened is his fault...and his fault alone. Guess why? Yup. It's that "We don't serve (respect) your kind" attitude again.

but don't mention it as you walk out the door after being refused service..... 'cus racism isn't happening today in America today....know what I mean?

I wish I woulda been behind you in line, bro. Seriously.
