I’m going to harvest some of the blueberry this weekend so I’m just trying a little experiment to see if I can lower the humidity in my dry box without the dehumidifier as whenever that’s running the temps rise 5 degrees C. I’ve hung a bovida humidity pack in there. I’m pretty sure the air replacement will mean it doesn’t do much but I’ve put in a 49% hoping it may get to 60ish %

I can see now why I failed science in school. The boveda pack did absolutely f all! Oh well you live and learn (hopefully )

Guess I’ll have to dry at higher temps then ideal, but I’ve got one last hope!

And if that fails I’ll put the ice jug in the box!

but THIS IS SCIENCE! And your just did an experiment and learned! Fuck the school system failing kids in science : ) thats not what science is about! I love that you are trying to make it work. Sometimes you just gotta do the “more obvious” things in front of you so you can see what’s really going on

uuuuu
secret wardrobe
Silver Narnia some weird plants
dehumidifier in the area far away from the drying is the only option I think. Would prefer to tweak to lower temp there for a week even with icepacks.
Tried with Boveda big packs and with this spongy things dehumidifiers and get back to electronic equipment fast.
No point in risking good bud as it looks tasty that auto
How about drying area somewhere else?
greets

Thanks mate, I’ve moved all the plugs outside the secret wardrobe . They were warm to the touch so hopefully that was where some of the heat was coming from

I’ve just set up my tent which I use to harvest and trim as it contains the smell

It only just fits at the back of the garage and I’ve had to move my wife’s exercise bike, but I could sweet talk her into letting me keep it up a while longer while I dry in it.
I’ve stuck a hygrometer in there and I’ll see what numbers I’m getting before the first chop tomorrow.

partial harvest update…

Rh in tent was 80+ so sticking with the secret wardrobe for now (I am thinking of re building the whole thing )

As a relative newby to weed, I’m hoping to try different strains to see different effects. But I also want to see if I can notice a difference with early and late harvests. So I partially chopped the blueberry yesterday while the trichomes were at about half amber maybe a little less.

I took roughly a 3rd of her I think.

I feel a little sorry for what’s left of her but I think it will only be a week or so before shes ready

Here’s a few pics of stress killer from the past few days, started some LST on her a couple days ago and she’s taking it like a boss

Got some new bits from ac infinity including and extra fan and the 69pro controller
Think I’m going to move the plants into the temporary tent this weekend and rebuild my grow areas.

Hopefully the redesign will improve air circulation and I’ve got a cunning plan that will (?) get a handle on excess heat in the drying area

Busy day building the new grow rooms.

Trying to save a bit of money and reuse what I’ve already got. The good news is I haven’t spent any money today, bad news is everything seems to take three times as long when you’re trying to build to match already cut materials .

Also had my nosey neighbours parents down and he’s an ex copper so I’ve had to do everything with the garage door shut so he wasn’t poking around!

First step was to get my plants settled in their temporary home

Then on to the build

Then this fucking happened
Oh well, progress has been made and I’ll get back to it Tomorrow

Another day on the build. Doesn’t look like a lot of progress, but all the wiring for this main area and the smaller area and drying area has been installed. The main area is all but complete, just a few holes to fill and fit some hooks for the lights etc. the main extractor is running and I’ve got a hygrometer in there to see what figures I’m getting.

All looks a bit of a Frankenstein’s monster, but still haven’t had to spend a penny so it keeps the wife happy

Now you have to invent yourself some hobby, that your other half will be repeating too in neighbourhood until they get use to it "can't stand him making those horse rockers bases all the time in his man hole, he's obsessed with it, but better any hobby than none"
Me for example- I grow Chrysanthemums I still chat with older ladies from neighbourhood about them and they are not surprised by me dragging 20L pots and bags of soil

Thank you, and I’ve already got the materials ready think I’m going to make it so I can higher and lower it with the ratchet pulleys.

The last few years I’ve grown chillis (which require more light and heat then an English summer tends to give) but I didn’t do any this year . But definitely will get some seeds in pots. I will definitely feel less conspicuous if I can pull out a chilli plant when people are lurking

Another couple photos from today’s progress, nearly done now. Got a couple doors to make for the veg and dry cabinets, seal everything up and connect the sockets and should be good to go

I didn’t want to neglect my plants so I’ve given water where needed and a bit more LST on stress killer.

Next water for stress killer I’m going to add some nematodes for fungus gnats as she’s been in with the other two and I don’t want her to have problems like I’ve had with the others
