Thinned out the strawberry and grabbed a couple cuttings from the cheese. 4ea SC, 2ea CC. This is kind of a shot in the air with this aerator thing-a-man-bob. Sceptical. Mixed a solution suited for clones according to the nftg guide. Filled reservoir. Stuffed softened peat pellets into the small plastic inserts. (Had to remove a bunch of material from each one and kept the mesh bag intact.) Took cuttings and used fresh aloe as a rooting agent. If that even works. Sprayed them a few times. Light is 17/7. Here we go. Day 1. Should I create a dome? Hmm.

Well. Two days... The depression has set in. Looking sad. Lol. Water still bubbling. Sprayed with plain h2o couple times a day. I'll give em a week to get perky before I examine for roots. The aerogarden experiment continues.

Some more grown up gals. Another haircut for a strawberry. Last bit of canopy control and into the flower tent. The deathstar are strong. That critical cheese is insanely bushy. Super dense canopy. Haircut and cutting session with her very soon then throwing her into the tent.

These deathstar are filling out nicely. Extensive LST from the rip. Kept em small and tight. Think the close proximity of the light keeping em stout. Hopefully have the others moved into the tent soon so these girls can have a little more head room to stretch their limbs a little. Maybe have the new veg box complete. (Hahahaha, yeah right. Procrastination has a strong grip.)

Still no roots on the clones. Probably revert back to the simple dome and a heatmat.
Strawberry Cough (El natural) is getting there. Tale end week 5. I let it settle out and spread on its own, but had to implement a few supports to tighten up the formation a little. Placed a few more specimens in the tent. The mother I flowered last go started under LED and finished final four weeks under the hps. Being under the hps from the beginning of 12/12 has proven better.
3ea Strawberry Cough and 2ea Deathstar currently. Get a better pic of the group when the lights go out.

That big o girl in the back right in need of some thinning. Stretch is on! Smaller SC needs a boost and a little thinning. The two DS front left are ready to stretch.

They look nice. If u have a cloning problem, I use "The CLONE KING 25" for roots. It's only $65 and does 100% rate.

Just V shape the cut, dip in gel, set and forget. I always get 100% and you can run your clones until their root system is a foot long. You can propbably even use it to hydroponic a single plant till maturity with base supplements added.

I considered one of these. The aerogarden was free. I was just giving it a whirl. For my needs I typically am good with dome, peat pellets. I only really need about 6 plants at a time right now. That clone king would make me want to do a true SOG in one gallons filling the tent with about 25 plants. Lol.

Lmfao.. You just described my second harvest. I couldn't get myself to throw out the clones.. dude, worst idea ever. You know how hard it is to water 25 pots in a 4x8?

I can imagine. I had 12 in a 5x5. Creative have watering for sure. Ideally, I feel a true SOG with a decent amount of containers would benefit from automated drip or flood and drain system. I'll stick with 4-6 specimen plants. Haha. Those clone Kings dwc or a mist/spray system?

Strawberry Cough 6wks, just doing her thing. Nitrogen sucker. This plant has always shown some yellowing. Gave her a feeding a little heavier on the N. The larger Strawberry is a few weeks behind but crazy big bitch. Where's the bamboo stakes? Her stretch is done but she's just lanky.

Question. You grow in soil base or hydro? Just wondering about the cages around the roots.

Stupid cages.. I do soil and that pic was from my first time around when I thought the cages helped keep the roots separate. Instead it made taking the plants out of the cage impossible. I had to cut the off carefully.. Now without the cage, if you let it sit too long, the roots from different plants can entangle.

I run it for about 10 days now. Gives me almost 3 in of roots and that's enough to transfer..

That's a good turn around. I may invest in a better cloning method as it usually takes me about 15 days with pellets.

You have white stubs within 48 hours and 7 days later, you have atleast 2-3 inches. In reality, the time it takes for a plant to die and the time it takes for you 2 have enough root, you can probably soil it when you see the white stubs and itll grow enough to accept transfer from soil before it dies from starving.

Just make sure you use the root gel at start and the root solution on day 4 or 5 if you go down this route.

Best $70 I've ever spent.

Yeah. I think the open root mist environment really speeds it up. The whole air/moisture exposure thing. This aerogarden is drowning the roots. The water is aerated though. I'm thinking about just cutting some foam to use as inserts to suspend the cutting in the solution with no peat material around it.
