Open to suggestions with my magnesium issues

How much epsom do you use if you’re workin’ on a deficiency?
Well... I'm a soil grower and amend it to my soil, so I don't know how that would translate to your system. For foliar feeding, however, one tablespoon per gallon of water is the usual recommendation.

There's a close relationship between Mg and light intensity because Mg is the core atom of the chlorophyll molecule. If a plant can't make enough chlorophyll due to insufficient Mg, we see similar leaf issues as we do with light stress. Consequently, reducing the light and adding Mg are both reasonable actions to take. The goal is to have the right amount of both for the life stage of the plant.

I had this happen for my current grow, so I sprinkled some Epsom salt on the soil and watered it in. Then I reduced the light slightly. The plants are under a ViparSpectra XS2000, which is a powerful light.

Doesn't look bad, pull light back a little and see if the leaf blochiness gets worse or better. Let it show itself a little more before you start throwing a bunch of solutions at it that might be the wrong solution and make it worse.

Thank you for all the input guys!!

General consensus seems to be too much light (possibly exacerbated by the hot soil based on my unscientific intuition) as well as obviously a magnesium “deficiency” but not brought about by an actual lack in soil.

Putting that all together makes me think K should back off on the light by 10%, and foliar feed epsom.

Sound like a solid plan?

Totally totally! That’s why I come here for support, to not mistakenly take actions born of ignorance :))

About to water though… how does everyone feel about 200ppm of organic calmag in RO (doesn’t have nitrogen in it..) for every watering?

Seemed to work fine on my last and first grow, but seeing these issues does make me second guess myself about that currently ;)
