Howdy all,

Helping a new set up get going.
The flower room will have:
8 x 1000 watters
4 x 600 watters
Total watts = 10400
Plus 2 or 3 70 pint dehus
And of course C02 burner

Climate= Pacific Northwest

I'm leaning towards a mini/split dual zone unit with 60,000 btu cooling capacity. It's avaliable at thermospace.com..

Please advice, suggestions.
Noise is a concern as well as cost..haha

I figure you need about 64,000 btu's,60 would probably work but i dont think they make 5 ton minis,most ive seen is 4 ton and that was a multizone fujitsu.Go to cannabis johns thread grow room a/c and he will plumb you up!

You need a 5 ton AC. This will work perfectly even with your other equipment. You could do 12k watts no problem with a 5 ton.

You are on the right track.
5 ton is plenty if you use the dual zone split ac.
I have 2 / 2.5 splits with 13 lights and a burner and it keeps it cold enough.

I paid 2300 bucks for a 4.5 ton Rheem off of Ebay.

It isn't a true mini split...because I had to run ducting. Which is great, because I have 9 drops...better air distribution.

Still....the only wall penetration I had to make were for the 2 copper lines and a wire, same as my mini's. Its like a mini but more versatile, IMHO.....because I can decide where the air goes.
