Nice garden there and I see you're organic. I noticed all of the different things you put in your feed. What would you say if I told you I planted a groundhog under my plant?

I'm an old backwoods farmer from Virginia. My grandfather taught me how to garden the old way by using the signs and shoveling out the barns! People don't think it affects plant growth but it does.

Absolutely, have you ever heard of planting by the signs?

It's an old farmer thing. Each month has 12 different stages that are divided from the head to the feet. You also have 2 stages of the moon. The moon is referred to as light of the moon and dark of the moon. Dark is full going to new and light is new to full. Root plants like beets and taters grow better planted in the dark as above ground fruits grow better if planted in the light. Now the body parts come into play. Head through breast is good. Bowels will rot in the ground or canned food will ruin in the jar. Then you have thighs through feet which are good for some and bad for others. You can get a farmers almanac and it helps some but the handed down knowledge is the perfection that ties it together. I love getting folks to experience this and see the difference in their plants even planted side by side.

I'm a god fearing religious man myself and it has nothing to do with satanic astrology. I've been told that too. It's just different alignments put different stresses on the earth and people started watching them. Just like the moon affects the oceans tides.
