This feminized triangle Kush cross has gone through some stress for sure, which is why she ended up outside. Thinking that she has finally gone hermie. Would the seeds be 100% hermie or would they be normal fem seeds if grown properly indoors?

Those seeds are useless. They'll always drop little seeds. Taste like pods.

Honestly you should kill it. Start again witha fresh pack of seeds. If I buy seeds from a place and one pack herms out. It's a guarantee all their seeds herm out. So I don't have a solid seed bank to refer you to. But I would expect triangle kush to not to Herm. I expect more from that brand.

I keep clones around that I stress on purpose. Pesticide. Random lighting. Temperature extremes. Water them randomly. They never herm from it. Only time I've ever seen herms is from femenized seeds. There is nothing to be gained from herms.

damn, that's kind of upsetting as i was planning on running these again but indoors. so you're saying i should just not bother with these seeds anymore?

Yeah you should 100% hunt for better genetics. If they herm they're not up to snuff. There are good seeds. But it's easy for the seed bank to lie too. The best way is to get regular seeds. Like 10 of them. And mother them. Clone them. Sex them and then pick the strongest to make mothers for perpetual . Or luck out and get quality bred femenized seeds. Or known good clones. It's the most annoying part of cultivar hunting.

I once got a QP flooded with seeds thinking I hit the jackpot. After running about ten they all had hermie on me. I wouldn’t do it again with my environment. My heat and humidity has too much flux.
Not sure your setup but it could be done. I’ve heard the original Chemdog is from hermie bag seed?

i have a small 500 square foot room with AC, dehu / humi etc. able to keep temps and humidity in check.

and yeah im pretty sure from everything ive been able to dig up regarding Tk, og, etc its from bagseed but not sure if the seeds were created due to hermie pollen or a plant just hermieing. not sure anyone knows lol

only reason i bought Fem was due to the fact that I do not have the capability to grow more than a couple plants and i also only have room for one tent. i've always wanted to run regs and find a mother, clone, etc. and do a small perpetual.

regardless these will be my last fems i buy. id rather find one female out of a couple seeds and grow her out to perfection than mess with all that wasted time on herms.

To put it in perspective I have some clones. A potent Pakistani landrace. It went through several days of heatwave. Hitting over 100 F for days. It foxtailed. It got soft at one point. But it never got sick. Bugs didn't attack it. No fungus. And no seeds. And still grew into the same premium kush as the other batches. Just the genetics keeping it sturdy. Those clones aren't even considered that top shelf around here. And they blow the doors off of every femenized batch I've ever seen. Your basic kush clones. So I'd try to get brand name seeds right from the breeder. Usually in Amsterdam.

Yeah best move for sure. A quality produced known strain with a good reputation. Once the perpetual is good you can experiment with other strains. Just have to nail down a consistent pest free smoke first. Then play around. It's so annoying to have these big awesome buds. And then snap crackle pop. It's got seeds. Feels bad.

Lol. I was envisioning a smaller tent. If I had that kind of sqft I would try a handful of the seeds you get, take em through flower and watch for hermie traits like a hawk. Could find your unicorn

I too am curious if they would all be hermie or just feminized though. Process seems similar to using silver to create a stressed based reaction.

When I ran Sour Diesel she would throw bananas. The seeds were fine, some hermie but mostly female. I don't know, I wouldn't kill a plant just cause it threw some male flowers under stress, especially one in the chemdog line

So way back in the overgrow days, moonshine man (Scott from rare dankness) sent out some seeds to growers on the forum. He wanted to outsource progeny testing and there were quite a few of us that were willing to run some beans and report back.

Cosmo and I got some old blue crosses, one crossed to a train wreck male. We popped them and they were 25% male, 25% female, 50% herm. MM confirmed with his own test.

There's a paper I just read about male female genetics in cannabis. There's a gene that suppresses "femaleness" and I'm guessing that the suppression of femaleness is on a spectrum. They had speculated that it was hermaphodism that first brought rise to dioecy in cannabis.

im not going to kill it, dont see a reason why i would at this point. just unsure if I should pluck or let it go and maybe even make use of the seeds later if need be.

i went ahead and plucked 5 off and will keep checking it.. should be interesting!
