Hello the temperature drop down into the 50's at night. My plant is currently in the flower stage. Should I bring the plant inside at night or is that temperature ok? Thank You

Cooler nighttime temps are fine, they can even endure a couple nights of frost toward the end without being affected too much. You might notice some new color along the red/purple hue. I posed the question to an AI about anthocyanacins and apparently the plant produces them not as a response to the cold, but rather as a protection against harmful UV radiation. When the plant is exposed to colder temperatures, it causes a purge of some of the plant's chlorophyll and with some of the green taken out, you see the red or purple. So, AI says it's actually already there, you just don't see it until cold temps arrive.

We've had some low 40s already without any issues to the plants. Mine usually get at least one frost before they are done around the end of September or the beginning of October.
