It also bleaches through clothing pretty quickly when wet. Don't ask how I know.No oxidate is not systemic like the eagle 20. People who use eagle 20 are missing some brain cells as far as I am concerned. Oxidate is safe to use up to day of harvest, OMRI listed, and does not leave behind any flavor and smell once it evaporates as far as I have ever been able to sell. Happyinmendo is correct - it is made of hydrogen-dioxide, and not photo-toxic.
It can be toxic if inhaled, and can cause eye damage, so you do want to wear a face mask and eye protection when applying it. If it gets on your skin it will cause to dry out and become irritated, turning it white. You cannot absorb enough through your skin to get to a toxic level as far as I know, but it can be uncomfortable if you get any on you. It is also toxic if you drink it.
PM, spider mites, just about any problem, generally speaking can be solved by having healthy plants, foliage sprays, with the use of the compost teas will coat yourl plants with micro organisms that will naturally fight off and kill any such problems...brewing your on tea is helpful as is to know that it was a tested compost..this is the future in growing pure organic medicine, you use less fertilizers which saves money and you will get more of a yield. There are classes popping up all over northern California, anybody who plans on keeping up with the jones's better get to educating themselves..nobody wants B grade, half organic medicine any longer.......lastly, anybody ever hear of Rick Simpson, he figured out the formula to make the essential oil of cannabis and has been curing folks of cancer and is now living in exile in Europe out of a suitcase...talk about it being medicine!
I believe there are two formulations, because I have one that's made from two peroxides, H202 and PAA (paracetic acid). And you're 100% correct, it can be used up to the moment of harvest.Sorry I'm a year or two late to this party.
If I'm not mistaken, OxiDate is H2O3, so it's got a free radical oxygen molecule over Hydrogen Dioxide. (H2O2)
I've (successfully used it minutes before harvest with no problems whatsoever.)
Also, as has been pointed out, it's not the least bit phyto toxic.
It's really H2O2 @ 27% + 2% PAA (paracetic acid). Once it's dried it's completely harmless.
