PM, spider mites, just about any problem, generally speaking can be solved by having healthy plants, foliage sprays, with the use of the compost teas will coat yourl plants with micro organisms that will naturally fight off and kill any such problems...brewing your on tea is helpful as is to know that it was a tested compost..this is the future in growing pure organic medicine, you use less fertilizers which saves money and you will get more of a yield. There are classes popping up all over northern California, anybody who plans on keeping up with the jones's better get to educating themselves..nobody wants B grade, half organic medicine any longer.......lastly, anybody ever hear of Rick Simpson, he figured out the formula to make the essential oil of cannabis and has been curing folks of cancer and is now living in exile in Europe out of a suitcase...talk about it being medicine!
You're choosing this as your first post on this website?
Not off to a good start, kiddo...
Organic growers NEVER get spider mites / pm / etc, right? Never happens. We chemmies have so much to learn!
Unfortunately for you, I have heard of Rick Simpson. Don't believe everything you hear. The man puts up an hour and a half documentary showing patients eating cannabis oil, then being cured of cancer. If I recall correctly, there was one single man at the end there who was declared completely cured... the rest expressed relief from symptoms.
The problems with this presentation are too numerous to even begin discussing in a forum format, but to give you and idea... the presentation is dismally unscientific. There is no data presented, no mention of other simultaneous treatments, no actual PROOF the cancer is eradicated, nothing. Just a man saying cannabis oil cures *insert long list of unsupported diseases*. I'm not trying to piss on anyones cornflakes, but honestly, you have to think about both sides of a story before making up your mind / mentioning these things. Taking a man's word on a claim that grandiose is nothing short of idiotic.
And one last thing... Is anyone else getting tired of this whole "it should be closer to nature" position that all these people seem to take when growing cannabis? Have you ever seen a plant grown unattended outdoors? It looks like absolute trash... and not just cannabis, ANY outdoor plant (this is, of course, from a cultivation point of view. There is much beauty in the inperfections of nature). Just go for a walk in the forest and find me one perfect bush... you won't. Nature is an arms race, not a symphony. We, as growers, are taking the best examples of success nature has to offer, and exploiting them to get better results. The environments we create indoors are *nothing* like mother nature. The Getting "back to nature", a mantra expressed all-too-much by cannabis growers I might add, is simply not what we're trying to do here.
Sorry for the rant, but this was just too ridiculous to ignore.
