Has anybody heard any reviews about this light? Their was some hype a couple weeks before it came out but I don’t see ANY reviews good or bad ANYwhere.. no YouTube videos or anything.. I’ve been searching for a par/ppfd chart but I can’t find one, basiclly it’s a bar type of light but instead of using LED bars they replaced it with LED panels.. I just got a Luxx Pro 645 a couple weeks ago and need to get another light to set beside it.. what do you guys think? Get another luxx and pay $300 more dollars or take a chance with this new light?Ive heard about of good things about photobio (I think hydrofarm owns it and this light was made in conjunction with Phantom I believe or maybe but idk here’s a link and some pics

A bit more info on its sourced leds and color temp would be nice. Otherwise looks interesting. Not sure it does anything the other thousand commercial led fixtures don’t do. One of my favorites is the FGI Light Panel due to the fact you can easily add UVA and far red led bars.

Yeah that is one thing that’s irritating me is that it’s pretty hard to find info on Photobios leds.. I just now noticed the MX680 = 1700 µmol/s PPF' and 2.55 µmol/joule, compared to the Luxx 645w which is 2.8 umol and 1800umol, not sure how much that would make a difference but they’re kinda close but the luxx so far looks like it’s winning unless I can find out some more info on the MX

Thanks for the info bro. Cool to finally see the comparisons!, one draw back I didn’t like is the gavita and luxx and others have dimmers and I know it’s fairly easy to install them but it’s very convenient to have them mounted on the light. Maybe they’ll upgrade that in the near future. Cuz I know these leds are super bright at 100%, enough to kill plants at 6-18inches Lol

I’ve also been curious on the hortilux 700es which looks like a great light too. I think it’s a little less on the ppfd side but makes up for it in other ways and has deep red too. BUT I’m not seeing barely any info or reviews on it yet and seems to be a hard to find light compared to other leds I contacted hortilux and they sent me a little cool pack with stickers and a free tshirt which was awesome for them to do. so their customer service seem very good so far!

Here's the ppfd chart. Any further inputs?
Looks like a really good light. I just ordered mine and can't wait to switch over from HPS. I like that you can remote mount the driver.

@superexe how's the heat from this unit? Just like you, i'm also coming from a 1000w DE HPS, hoping the light is somewhat comparable with way less heat? Does the driver put out any heat?

I just purchased 2 of the phantom photobio mx. I have them both in a 4x8 with 3 gods gift by bc bud and a gdp f1 by garden of green under them. All in 15g pots. Just flipped a week ago today. The driver hardly puts out any heat at all. Warmish but nowhere near hot by anymeans after running for 12 hrs.

Girls indeed look good even the lower buds seem to be swelling nicely. What's the distance to the canopy from the light in these pictures?

Thanks! I agree. They have put on quite a bit on lower branches. I have them spread out and defoliated enough for lights to hit inner nodes. The light is set @16 inches in previous picture.....week 5 starts tomorrow. And boy do they look different!. Lol... kinda of a lousy focus on video...but you can still get the visual aspect of how well this light is performing!

I ordered mine through agron. Had them shipped freight on a pallet. Both lights plus shipping 1764$. Grow green Michigan is also selling them for 8 and some change. Free shipping but idk how long that wait would be. Tbh. I would buy them @ 900. Your like paying for next day shipping @ that price. Lol

$894 from our friends at GH

PHOTOBIO MX 680W 100-277V S4 spectrumw/ iLOC | direct from Growers House

The PHOTOBIO•MX changes everything. We took a step back, evaluated all the fixtures on the market, and then set out to do things entirely different. The result is a 680W fixture delivering 15% more light to your canopy, using 35% less power than a 1000W DE fixture. Increase yields while driving...

On paper it looks good. Only way to really tell is Buy one and use it for seedlings. I purchased a "2000 Watt" Koscheal branded amazon sold led light. So far its done really well for my 2 white widow autos. I paid 149 Canadian dollars for it.
