Welcome! Good luck!Hi All,
Im very happy to find this forum so easily. Congrats on a great community!
Im in Suffolk county Long Island NY and thinking about growing next summer.
Problem is security. Im paranoid that my plants may walk away late summer if I plant in the ground. So 5 gallon bucket seems the best. I can bring these inside as needed.
Stuck here on my internal debate.
I have grand plans all ready to go for the grow. perfect spot.. perfect soil, Miracle grow.. pruning.. Am looking forward to it.
Cheers
Im sure I have a lot to learn. What do you suggest?Miracle grow? Stay away from that for growing cannabis
Theives aren’t the only reason to plant in pots. Insects, bud rot, and inclement weather almost robbed me of my crops. It would not have been easy to bring them in had I planted them in the ground. Just a thought to muddy the waters.Hi All,

Ha. Ha Ha. I thought a 10 gallon container comment was pulling my leg at first!!Theives aren’t the only reason to plant in pots. Insects, bud rot, and inclement weather almost robbed me of my crops. And the suggestion to use 10 gallon + containers is a good one. I grew in 5 gallon containers last summer. The yields were great but I was watering every day.
Good luck and happy growing!
Haha I thought you were pulling my leg with this comment at first.I would not go less than 10gal pot for photoperiods. Autos would do fine in 5gal.
Outdoors, a 10 gallon pot is considered tiny! Too bad, you have to move them! But don’t get me wrong! You can grow nice plants in them! Knock it out of the parkHaha I thought you were pulling my leg with this comment at first.
