My grow setup:
3x3x8 grow tent
6 CFL lights and 2 LED plant lights
4 plants 2 white widow and 2 jack herer in with 6in drip rings. Lights are on for 18hrs. Water once every hour while lights are on. No water with lights off. Using advance nutrient starter pack.
Help:
I’m on my 4th week of veg and my tips are slowly starting to brown. To be honest I’m not sure if it’s nutrient burn or something else. Would love some help or tips on how to diagnose my plants. Pictures below. If you need anymore information please feel free to ask. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Feeding too much. You have a tds/ppm reader? That would be good to know where you stand ppm wise. But you're over feeding.

Quick question... Just before lights on do you see tiny water droplets on the edges of the lower leafs?

Yeah I take readings quite regularly when not at work. This morning 6:30am my ppm was at around 500. I’m feeding for 1:30 every hour. I’ve been looking around online and I think I’m gonna change that when I get home tonight. 15min feedings for a total of 5 feedings per day. Just curious in veg what range should my ppm be in?

no, i don’t think there are anydroplets but to be honest havent really been looking for it either. I’m like 95% sure there are no droplets. What does it mean if I do see them?

I'm guessing he's going with the water beads being little magnifying glasses and burning your leaves. But I could be wrong and it could be something completely different. I'm sure he'll chime in and let ya know.

ok that makes sense but I dont think there are any water beads but will keep an eye out tomorrow morning. Should I Trim the brown leaves or wait for them to get better? I was also thinking of flushing my system for the next 2 days and starting a new tank with fresh nutrients. Is this a course of action I need to take right now?

Yeah bang on except it has more to do with ferts while the sap may have magnifying aspect not usually the culprit of the damage. Also it's a sign of high root pressure/humidity, transpiration issues. Usually when I see swollen leaves it means water is being trapped in the leaf and the stomata are either partially closed during the day or high root pressure with high humidity which kinda go hand in hand. Usually this happens at night when the stomata are closed.

It's called guttation and can sometimes damage the leaf egdes. Usually only seen on the lower leaves because they are closest to the roots.

I can't say for sure but to me it fits the bill from what I'm seeing.

It basically causes nute burn at the tips and edges of the lower leaves in short

Leave them for now they aren't bad

Back nutes off a bit and make sure the plant has good airflow... What's the temp and humidity day and night?

During the day temps are between 75-80 at night 68-72. Humidity is usually between 50-75% once in a while it will get as high as 85% during the day. At night humidity is low in the 20-30%. I only run the humidifier when the lights are on. I need to get a better fan for more airflow. Gonna change the watering schedule and take half my water out and replace with some distilled water. Tap water where I’m at has really high ppm. Thanks for the help by the way.

Yeah try to get this humidity spikes under control.

Definitely will work on that. One more question lol. this may be something or it may be nothing at all. One of my plants, the tips aren’t burnt but they are bright green and dropping down just on the tips. I read something that called it “The claw”. Is that what this is??? Tried to get a decent picture of it.

Yes that's a sign of nitrogen toxicity.

Over fertilizing will give you claw and tip burn. When you see it on only lower leaves and the edges as well its usually guttation. It's probably a small combination of both. Cutting back the nutes will likely fix both as guttation is usually not noticeable until you are slightly over feeding. In itself guttation is not a bad thing. It's how a plants deals with excess water but to much means stress

thanks man! I’m literally standing in my room as we speak resolving these problems. 😁😀

The only reason I bring it up is to point it out so ppl can see what some signs are. Like I said it's not always bad. But by seeing that you can piece together clues of how to fine tune your grow to that plant. It's not something you should freak out about just a little sublet sign that humidity is something you need to look at. It can make an opening for infection... Again just info don't take that as you have to fix this ASAP. or the plant will get infected.

Yeah absolutely, I’m a little worried since it’s mt first grow, but not freaking out. Just making minor changes to fine tune my systems.
