Using happy frog humidity is around 45-50 temp is 75-80 watering each day a little bit lights are 20 inch away and not at full brightness. Noticing my plant started drooping a lot today dosent look good or normal so anyone have any ideas I just watered it a lot because I water it so little due to being afraid of overwatering being so common maybe I underwatered. Thanks!

Pictures would help growers help diagnose the issue and how old are the plants

To me they look over watered I would let them dry back before next watering. Maybe take the same size pot of dry soil and weigh it and then weigh your plant then dont water again until your close to that dry weight just my opinion and hopefully a more experienced grower will chime in soon

Get used to the weight of the pots when theyre dry and when theyre just watered, the 2 inches rule doesnt apply many times and is not reliable. I agree, looks overwatered. For such a small plant in only 1 gallon watering every day seems excesive. Since youre using plastic, it also takes longer than textile pots to dry, the surface might dry but the rest might be totally wet.

The watering by weight definitely helped me get watering technique dialed in. Should feel like your picking up styrofoam before she needs a drink. Dont need to water daily

You can also add drainage holes on to the pot on the bottom and sides to help with drybacks

Yeah I think my daily watering was to little for how big she is I would do just like 4 squirts but I will measure my pots with soil right now thank you for info

If you dont have drainage holes drill some like buds said and always water with the intent to water the whole pot. Weed generally wants generous waterings and some space in between them, unless youre in coco but youre not.

Is it just me or happy frog looks worse each year? I cant buy it because is not available here but my God, whenever I see someone using it after a while looks worse. I would advice to go with Ocean Forest instead, looks so much better suited for weed.

I tried to use soils that minimize the use of peat or remove it completely because is a non renewable source but so far I had no luck with those soils, the performance compared to a regular peat soil ammended by myself or already ammended is huge. (Also the lack of shenanigans)

Bit higher humidity 60 and 300 ppfd for the lights works best for me.
Enjoy and good luck.

Ive heard that OF is too hot for seedlings, is that why youre doing it? Mind that I dont know, never used it, so Ive only read the opinion of other people, some say its fine for seeds some say its not. In any case I would buy a light mix from any other brand to start from seed instead of using happy frog, I wouldnt risk my precious seeds with that soil. I use the leftovers of my orders of peatless soils to grow lettuce and onion sprouts for salads and reuse it, they grow nicely and fast inside the tent no matter if youre at 18/6 or 12/12.

It’s not just you, I still use it but it’s definitely not what it was even 2 years ago. Comes with a lot of fungus gnats now too it seems.

Sound good I will try some different soil next time and yeah that’s why I’m not using OF initially

Full strength soils are fine for seedlings, allmix ocean forest or just some multipurpose compost all work well.

Rather than listen to people who say they are too hot listen to people who germinate in them.

Light mixes are for people that want to start fertilising straight away, all mixes are for those who want the soil to feed till next repot or not have to worry about feeding for a couple weeks or longer. An all mix can get you into mid flower without a fertilizer added a light mix won't assuming we're potting up from small to larger each time not in the final pot from start.

You would probably need to find a lot stronger soil than allmix to burn seedlings with, the ec is quite low for soil still.
