My leaves are turning purple and I can't figure out why. Wondering if nutrient burn or definiciency but I tend to have burnt tips so can't be definiciency. Has anyone seen this before?

Also getting yellowing. This started happening after topping and heavy defoliation. I noticed this happened to my mother plants too after I made clones from them. That was my only experience with this purplish color on the leaves. The strain is Pink Kush.

Pink Kush, could the plant be turning purple after defoliation because it thinks it's dying? The plant does turn purple in general during flowering but I'm only 7 weeks in veggie right now. Only my mother plants have done this before after making many clones from them

I'm kinda thinking phosphorus, but P is a tough one to diagnose.

What have you been feeding? It could be lockout from too much calcium.

Is that a bug on that leaf??

Yes that's a bug. Thrip I believe. The medium is sunshine mix #4. About to spray them with neem oil today to get rid of the thrips.

The last two waterings have been flushes. 0 PPM water. Maybe it is deficiency. I defoliated. Spraying with neem oil and giving them some nutrients. Will see what happens. Maybe it is phosphorous

They look hungry to me
I am going to feed them on the heavier side today. I hit them with 1100ppm on their 3rd week of veggie and they loved it so didn't make sense that it's nutrient burn as they're getting less lately and giving me signs. I use ro water which gets rid of the 300-400 PPM water from my well but tbh based off the times I used well water they seemed to like it more. Maybe there's minerals in there that the plants really like. Will get my well water tested at a lab soon to make sure there's nothing damaging in there but the plants seem to like it so maybe I'll only use ro water for flushing at the end

Have to put off flowering now which is annoying but I don't want to start them flowering in this state they're in

Good call on waiting to flip. In your situation I would recommend a mix of your ro water and well water

I was thinking that too. I just defoliated them again pretty heavily. Want to try to start them off fresh as many leaves were dying and those can't be fixed. So for now I'm trying to not go past 700-800ppm so I'll use my ro water since it's perfect ph level. But going forward I think I'll mix my ro water with well water. Or if the lab analyzes only good minerals coming from the well water I'll stick to that solely as the plants seemed to absolutely love it during veggie. My new veggies I used only ro water and I notice them a bit thinner than the batch I'm waiting to put into flower now. Very anxious to see the lab report on what's in my well water. Maybe alot of calcium

Also the roots exploded in comparison to my veggies from a few months ago. I veggied these (the waiting to flower ones) for 6 weeks before transplant and the roots were double in comparison to the ones from before which I veggied for 9 weeks

I might add too that the plants might have been rootbound when I transplanted to 10 gallon pots. The roots were thick and all over. This was after 6 weeks in 3 gallon pots with well water and heavy feeding. They were looking phenomenal until the 5 week mark. Then I started getting the purple and yellowing. I was flushing alot at that point getting ready to flip to flower until they got really bad.
