make sure it drains quickly by using 30% perlite mixed with soil and maybe 2-3 inches of perlite only on the very bottom of your container. and mix in 20-30% worm castings with the soil also, even if it says it contains some already.

Make your own . There is lots of info on here about it. Basically you need a starter mix for the seedlings (it's finer and less nutes then final soil). Then you need guano, worm castings and top soil. You can look up ratios.

Just search soil recipe. There's like 500 posts. I'm not a soil guy at all. But it's fairly easy.

So I decided to go with half happy frog half ocean Forrest should I add some more perlite for drainage or keep it? Also I know this will be enough for 2weeks but what should I use for nutes after 2weeks any suggestions

I wouldn't start those seeds in that mix. It's gonna be way too hot for those babies. You need a stater mix and I wouldn't feed it at all. Just water till transplant at about 2 weeks into super soil. Then you still really don't need to feed till they show that they need it. Which will probably be around bloom. People don't like to transplant autos but Idk ahh other safe way to do it in soil.

No! I plant auto straight into happy frog and have happy plants. I put the seed in the middle after it soak overnight. They come up by day three. Soak the soil when you put the seed in to soak. Good luck.

mix in 35% of that top soil if your worried w/ happy but it may need perlite added.

some seeds are very sensitive, some are not. landrace sativa can be sensitive. they will not need nutrients the first couple weeks but thats what happy and ocean have. or better yet, put them in a cup with just the top soil and maybe 20% happy for two weeks until your starts show u second set of leaves then put them into 50/50 mix of what you just purchased.
