Yes awfully awfully wet sir. Downpoured all morning today and it hasn't been sunshiny in a week.

Day 4
Feeling confident that hypothesis is proven, though I am waiting until day 10 to call it - a bit disappointed that the seedling has some issues independent of living situation..but I've seen worse recover.
It is central new york- she's not gonna have squat for bud sites, but it is supposed to be a "fast flowering variety".

On day 10, I will unwrap and inspect graft site. At harvest, we will disect on video to see what it looks like if we can? I might not know what I'm seeing but I bet I can find a website that'll tell me before hand we can see whYs happening inside!

Apparently, the radicle "taproot" normally gives way to a fibrous root system as the hypowhatever pushes it down and the baby leaves up. The stem above baby leaf is different organ. The white part before 'hook' in seedling may be able to graft very easily. I will look into it and see if it transports the same stuff xy and phy whatever do in stems? If so then yes. Idk the science words, but i think we've taken a step towards proving the art.

yeah, I won't believe until I will see branch there- seedlings and cuttings grow in my compost bin for few weeks and still some of them try to grow, so you know...
I'm hopeful but sceptic
and then there's another question- if seedling will grow like another plant instead of just branch- will it eat it's mother?

Seeds sprout inside bud after rain sometimes too.
Id say no, it would not eat it. It will become a branch of the mother - that's my hypothesis anyway.
Time will tell. I'm gonna inspect the graft site in a few days, that'll tell us a lil a more about what's going on. I will be trying this indoors soon with an undamaged seedling lol

And seedlings especially have nutrients already built in, so it would potentially survive longer without help. However, that ability to survive unconnected is one of the reasons I think it will work ever better than a typical graft.
Those branches in your compost would be fine if you properly grafted them to a host, that's a poor comparison

She's trying, but crippled. I've seen worse recover, but she's outside, won't do much. Honey cream "fast flowering" but was always just an experiment

I'm soaking a beautiful Blueberry CBD seed right now for a second try. I am almost certain that what we're seeing right now is the seedlings fault, not the graft.

I "disagree". Definitely not trying to be an ass or pick a fight, I just think of all the seed to harvest videos I've seen that show what happens to the seed when it sprouts and the tail or tap root grows like an alien and wiggles thru the medium and pushes up the above ground seedling, then the seedling starts feeding itself thru the roots. I think they are very weak at this point in their lives and stuffing the little roots inside of an existing plant where it is very hard if not impossible for the root to wiggle it's way down and sprout out more little roots is the problem. Like i said earlier, I'm interested and applaud the effort. I am just sharing my thoughts on the subject. I hope this is cool? I surely don't want to cause a problem with you or anybody else here.

not at all, i hear you loud and clear. i have no particular reason to think this will work, just not satisfied with first test as seedling is defective. i appreciate the input, i try not to have much ego

I wonder if you could drill a small hole down into the plant to give room for some roots to easy grow into it.

You're awesome. Keep thinking out of the box. Dolly the sheep didn't just happen. Somebody had to try something everybody said wouldn't work, that did.
