Edit: Sorry, should have read your other thread.

Are you using tap h2o straight into your watering can? Then nutes and adjusting pH? The reason I ask is tap water will change pH on you over time and really mess things up. Best to fill your jugs and let them sit 24+ hours at room temp first.

I'll argue that's not a hard rule, but it's a good rule to live by. Show me a commercial hydro grower that gives two shits about res temps (talking thousands of gallons) and I'll buy in. No disrespect @PK_Blunt420, I know where this ideology comes from and it's not a bad thing by any means for control of pathogens and max DO.

Then why are you bringing up temps of fertigation for soil? That's irrelevant in a media like that...

Momentarily.

Soil holds ambient temperature more than water. The temperature of the input is going to assimilate with the temperature of the media much quicker than the media is going to lose heat. So, you pour 3gal 70F water into 10gal 80F soil, the soil temp will drop to 76F. Thermodynamics take over at that point. Fertigation temps have some bearing in soil (you don't want to shock the roots with 50F water on a hot day for instance) but they do not carry much influence on the health of plants overall in such an environment.
