I'm a lady of class and fun! OK, well sort of. I am a 58 yr old married grandma who is also a retired military veteran (as is my husband of 38 yrs). During my late 30's/mid 40's I was hit with a variety of illnesses at once. Ovarian cancer, then two autoimmune diseases as well - I have had over 33 surgeries and currently have epilepsy/PTSD/Seizure disorder as well as being on the Autism Spectrum disorder (my 35 yr old son was diagnosed autistic/Aspergers during his school time..I come from the silent generation of Autistic/Asperger people).

About 10 years ago was when my life really changed. I had first started using CBD to help manage my seizures/pain and PTSD (I was on 15 different physician prescribed medications a day- The side effects were as horrible as the diseases and pain they didn't help!) I got my MMJ card and wow..... The plant LITERALLY transformed my life. I love growing it, and experimenting with it. I love the healing serenity of working on my garden and plants and BEST of all...I love growing my own medicine and recreational fun! After I got the blessings of most of my doc's (My neurologist was astounded by the fact that I was able to reduce 3 of my seizure meds because of using cannabis. Also, as someone who is on the Autism/Aspergers Spectrum- Many medications don't always work the same on (us) as other folks. My son (age 35 and also autistic) was battling stress and depression. He too, turned first to CBD and then to 1:1 type dosages.

We grow in a legal state, in our home in private. And while I occasionally may post a few photos if I have afew questions, like many hear I prefer to remain quiet about my indoor grows. The plants really ARE my mine and my sons life line. We turn all our flower into edibles and tinctures as well as canna-caps. I am now down to only 5 different medications a day now and am no longer in a wheelchair either- So I really love cannabis! Growing it, is a lovely obsession and I drool over all the photos and REJOICE at seeing other growers "real life un-retouched photos" and saying..."Hey- I am not a half bad grower and there are some really neat folks here~!" So I will pop up on occasion to always support my fellow brother and sister grower out there. Here is my service dog "Imo" (short for Imhotep) saying "Hey ya! Whatcha doin?"

Warmly,
Jackie

Welcome Jackie. I am Ex-Army myself. My wife and I can't match you for surgeries but we've had a few. Cannabis is also our lifeline to sanity. Both of us have ptsd (different sources) and physical injuries. Welcome to the Farm. My wife is on the forum as well. @BionicKroniK.

Sweet looking fur baby you have there!
I've got 2 cats and 2 dogs. We call them our children because our 2 legged kids are all grown. We've got 6 adult kids and 9 grandchildren.

Welcome to the farm!

Both Air Force, or is that "The skate way of life"? I was in from 85-89 but both of us traveled from 1984-2014. We are settled from moving now. I have been on disability for the past 15 yrs.
Warmly,
Jackie

Oh we will get along fine! I used to do large breed canine rescue (and also worked as a veterinary tech when I still worked). I have a Rottweiler (as you saw) we have a Min-Pin and often fostered/evaluated or trained rescued dogs from shelters to be service dogs. (Provided they had the drive/temperament). Because of health issues I can no longer support and engage in the active rescue/foster that I used to in Mastiff and Gentle Giant rescue, but I always love the large breeds! Okay, in all honesty, I love ALL pets. (except the spayders...You all who like tarantulas and arachnids and such...I hear you, but you can keeps!) Thanks for the welcome.
Warmly,
Jackie

Meet Willy and Luna. Willy is an American Eskimo and will be 3 in May. Luna is a Pomsky, just a year old. She's bigger than her brother now.

Because you have been so kind as to show me ALL your wonderful companions, I would be remiss if I didn't show the others. ;) Here is ANGEL, she is a Min-Pin chi mix we adopted from the local humane society when she was around 1 or 2 yrs old. She is 13 now. She is the one I am holding. In the other photo, Angel had stolen one of the MASTIFF sized bones for herself! Ha-ha! and she kept it too! Even though it weighed nearly as much as her. The last photo is of (puppy) Mr. Ted E. Behr (who was my prior service dog before my currant one Imo) next to him was a foster Rottie (Bella) that we adopted into our home. She lived until 11 (Died from cancer) Mr. Teddy died last year from lymphoma, and Angel still rules the house. Angel is also a Seizure Alert dog, something we never had to train her for. It seems that within 5-10 hours of a Grand Mal Seizure, Angel, will get really concerned and want to lay on my lap or constantly lick my mouth...These dogs are SMART! They sense the minute changes in our scent and electrical impulses. With my older Rotties who passed from cancer, when they were in pain, the tinctures I grew helped them too. (With my veterinarians blessings). Although with the pet tincture it is all full spectrum CBD with very low THC (under 5) to only assist for pain. Health and peace to you all...Whether you live with "Fur Kids" or just have a nice aquarium on your desk! Heck...Have a pet Praying Mantis in your grow room. Throw him a cricket once a week ;) Name him/her George. Talk to it often. (Yeah, I have a silly sense of humor...)

Nice introduction. Great story, it truly is a medicine plant.

The army did not want me. I would not want a guy yelling in my face either.

Nice dog , looks very young

A late welcome to the farm from me
