Hi guys this is a new update I have moved the trellis net a few inches above each plant I am going to let them grow into the net and produce more stalks and then start scogging as the plants grow through the net. I am aiming to fill most of these holes you see. And then I will flip to flower.
A few questions though how do I get the net to stop bowing in at the sides anything I can buy for this 5x5 to pull the net even all over?
Also what hole size do you guys recommend for this the pots at 25l.

I have a 2.3'x4.6' tent, which is a great size, but means that they don't make trellises the exact right size. I had to buy a 5'x5' net and then make the wood strips you see on the right side of this pic:

For the long sides, I just stretched the net tight enough on these strips to pull up any slack. They stayed tight and stretchy throughout the grow.

Okay thankyou I have used these metal and plastic bamboo canes I had however they don’t fit all the way across so there is still some gap-age in the tent but not nearly as much.

Hi guys I have one question I haven’t managed to get the bug spray yet as local store has been closed and I really don’t like buying online after a couple incidents I’m going tomorrow. However I’ve snapped a picture of this a couple days ago is this a thrip? I didn’t see it move and then I blowed on it and it disappeared instantly.

This is the only area I can see serious damage that looks abnormal (some damage on other leaves due to trellis net etc) it is local to that fan leaf and the one next to it. Does this look like thrips ?

such damage can happen from genetic mutation locally on the leaf.

Hi update I have sprayed the plants with smc spider mite control it kills other pests like thrips too and it has lift a few oily spots on the leaves but I read that’s normal and spots should slowly evaporate as it’s suffocating the pests and their eggs I sprayed yesterday I’m going to spray In two more days and then three days after that to assure I have killed the thrips.
I have also scrogged using what grown since 95 had showed me does this setup look ok? I’m planning to let it veg for a week and a half or two and flip to flower then let the flower stretch come through the net and mature.
I’m just waiting on the second branches on the main stems to mature a bit so I can flower and it should fill the net in a lot more.
Can someone tell me if this sounds like a good plan or if I have missed anything and if the scrog I have done looks ok?
Thanks guys.

Thankyou man . A question I really want to know is these plants are all indica dominant so I know from reading that they will roughly double their height through flower. So with these little side branches that range from a cm to 5cm how long do these have to be to produce some significant buds too as I don’t want to flower too early and them give off tiny buds I want a nice even canopy and the colas to be roughly the same size nice and consistent. If you can help me out with this information I’d be very thankful man.

Alll the smaller lower/side branches will sprout up during the strech and look like a main cola. Just don't cut yourself short and flip too early

You probably already know this and I only have one grow under my belt, so maybe someone else could either corroborate me or tell me to keep my damned mouth shut, but I scrogged heavily all through my grow and kept scrogging right through the stretch, which I think was a mistake. I ended up with a nice flat canopy, a few decent top colas, and a ton of low quality stuff underneath. I think scrogging is a great idea until the stretch, where the plant needs to let its colas grow up into the air and light. I think if I had done that, I would have had a much better yield.

I think it’s because you didn’t defoliate the bottom of the plant and kept colas on which weren’t directly in the light so less trichomes on bud and less size to the bud that’s what I’m guessing anyway I think the whole point of scogging is to keep the net where it is once done and let the buds get supported by the thick stalk.
What I’m wandering is how big does a stalk need to be to produce a worthy sized bud?

I’m sure that was it. I followed two pieces of advice that I’m sure were excellent in their own right, but they didn’t play well together. I certainly should have defoliated more.

But even if I had properly defoliated, I think there still came a time during the stretch that I should have stopped scrogging.

Worthy size buds have some weight towards the end close to harvest. In many cases, unsupported stems/stalks can buckle under the weight. If you have any bending way down, tie them up or give them more support with something.

Thankyou for the advice what im asking though is how big does a stalk have to be to actually flower into a worthy sized cola? I have side branches right now that are about 1-4 inches long and tiny these obviously right now wouldn’t produce big buds but how big does a stalk have to be to produce big buds?

Guys is this worrying? Last night I changed my reservoir and checked its ph it was at 5.9 today I check not even 24 hours later and my reservoir is at 6.4-6.5 and the trays ph is even higher shown on the attached image.
The plants are looking good and I have been in auto pots for longer than a week and this has been the same all the time and the plants have been growing quick consuming lots of water and no signs of damage in the plants themselves.
Is the ph different with auto pots or bottom feeding systems this doesn’t seem right at all.

None of them start like a broomstick. Usually they gradually increase in girth as the flower/bud gets larger. I realize that I have not directly answered your question .... but in a way I have. it's not uncommon for the weight of a bud to be more than can be supported by the stem or branches its on. It's up to you as the grower to either support the branch with trellising or similar ... or decide if you want to remove it from the plant.

I understand what you mean now and yeah boy I want as many beautiful flowers as I can safely keep in there obviously I know to not let the flowers touch due to mold etc I want a good yielder though I guess that’s what most people want I would rather sacrifice a bit of yield for better quality though.
