My plants are now showing signs of high ph ie yellow puffing of old fans leaves and black and brown spots showing on old fan leaves too. I already realised this before signs were as significant as now and it was to do with the ph in autopot rez having to be lower than I thought 5.5-5.6 ish I have corrected that since yesterday do you guys think I just leave it as is now with the corrected ph or flush ?

Do you think this issue is the end of the plants or just a warning sign that can be corrected ?

The plants are still growing and consuming water I haven’t really noticed a stunted growth and these spots have only appeared over the last couple days I haven’t corrected my autopot so the trays now have solution of a ph between 6-6.5 sounds high for coco but that’s what autopot themselves recommend

They should continue to grow normal growth if problem is fixed i imagine. But when damage is done it's done. Not my expertise with coco I'm sure them guys can give you more info on that

Yes the damage is done but I’m not even in flower at the moment and all the fan leaves that are affected will be lollipopped off during the stretch anyways so if the problem is now fixed over the next week surely this damage shouldn’t affect the actual flower or yield in the long run right ?

Yes I am not going to flip for another week and a half of everything being right at least I will see with the newer fan leaves as they become old ones if they look healthy then I’ll flip when the time comes.
And yes I am not really bothered about strict time constraints for this as it is my first grow I just want to understand everything learn how to fix problems and end up with a decent yield and good flower that’s my plan I don’t think this problem should carry through to flower though if I correct it now and flip when healthy.

I've been where your at it's stressful but weed is well weed and very resilient. Just read read read and try to think ahead. Have fun doing it and try not to stress over problems. Eventually it will become second nature and you can push limits to see just how far you can take em and learn from that

Yeah bro I get you I just get worried in case certain errors will be plant ending or not I don’t think this will be. The ph in my trays as shown above was 6.9 now I have just checked and it’s sitting around 6.0-6.1 right on the money for the trays oh seems to be different range to top watering it recommends a ph of 6-6.5 so I am within that now.

The good part is with photoperiod plants, most things can be fixed with some time and addressing the problem correctly. Auto-flowers are unforgiving. You make the wrong move and you can really hurt your yield.

Nothing wrong with running coco provided you don't treat it like soil. Coco is an inert medium and must be treated like hydro. Once through the learning curve, you can have some really impressive yields. In legal commercial grows, almost everything is grown in coco. It's the easiest to fertigate and gives a knowledgeable grower an abundance of control over how things grow.

Keep on working towards your goals.

UPDATE: Fingers crossed they seem to be doing better now and no signs of continuation of the ph problem!

Thankyou man this is my first grow so I want some advice aswell regarding the stretch during flower this are all indica Dominant so I know they will roughly double in height during the stretch but what about width ways ? Do you think I should be in flower soon with the way they look or do I have a week or so of veg I could play with without overcrowding? I know this is a complex question I’m just wandering if you can give me any numbers or advice on when to flip?

The plants are looking better the white widow closest plant on video is showing a couple signs on a couple new leaves of the high ph however it is still growing and red stems are greening so I don’t think it’s a concern I think it’s still recuperating.
I have put calmag ro water and canna flush in my Rez as I read for proper maintenance you should flush once a week just a few litres of water then fill Rez again and add your nutes for the week so I have done that and bleeded the autopot system out and increased the lighting slightly to around 42 dli from 35 previously.

I kind of skimmed a bit, but is your pH pen reliable? Are you calibrating it?

Yes it is very reliable and calibrated I had an issue with auto pots that made the ph they were receiving for a week ish around 6.6-6.9 ph it is now resolved good thing is it is during veg so the affected leaves will be lollipopped during stretch.
