I am growing outdoors in pots in order to keep my plants portable. It's my first grow and I want to learn/test a few techniques. Here is my attempt at building a frame and mesh for a small scrog that can be easily moved with the pot.

I have 3 plants set up like this and thought it may help training and reduce the need for staking. I will compare them to my 4 lst plants at the end of the grow to see the difference.

I have made mini-scrogs like this for indoor grows.

I'm not sure there's much advantage to training outdoor plants with plenty of room to grow, but this might keep them manageable if you intend to move them a lot.

Unlike indoor lighting, where there is a sweet spot distance from the light for decent bud growth, there is no sweet spot distance from the sun. It's all sweet spot.

Hi mysticepipedon, thanks for the feedback. You are spot on for my reasoning - I need to keep my plants short and portable for stealth. Even my lst plants are about the same height for those reasons. Was hoping to reduce staking late in bloom but not sure it will? At least it makes watering easier because I don't have all of the lst ties around the pot

Can't wait until my screening plants get tall enough so I can grow a few monsters straight in the ground.

Here's one of my lst plants.
