oo ooh.,
don’t think people realize that this viroid is probably in every seedbank worldwide.. and tissue culture can easily miss detecting it..

Some scary stuff. You ever come across any? Seems like youd have to chop a whole crop if you get one

I’m just glad that that my seed stock is thick with older genetics. a lot of the strains I grow now I have cultivated to what they are today over multiple generations of crossing un-infected cultivars. What I’m interested in understanding is what the ramifications are during storage. Cross contamination wise. Over the last 2 years that could be world shattering for some folks if it’s possible.

You do good work keeping those genetics exactly how you want em.. strong, potent, and viroid free!

I'm glad that now that cannabis is legal in a lot of places scientists can get grants to study this stuff.

Thx, I could lie and say I saw this coming, but I’m just fortunate I got into breeding when I did. I agree. The grants are numerous these days in terms of study for medical applications and overall plant biology and viral predisposition. It fucking matters.

firstly wasn’t very strong and buzz was short and yield was small..
second was i made bubble hash and QWISO and that’s where i knew for sure based on quantity and than quality..
the plants growing looked great but now ive been reading about this stuff daily and can feel pretty confidently they had it.. the clones i took grew kinda like the mothers from seed, but the clones i took from them for friends for outdoors all seemed to be growing odd..

I spent 3 days looking up prions, and Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and now y’all bring this up. I can feel the new rabbit hole sucking me in.

Man. The imperium looked so nice too. That pheno was gorgeous. The more I read about it, there’s ALOT of articles popping up on it now. I just can’t stand the Elusive nature of it.
Your left a, chopping early or b, a detrimental extended flowering period. With no real markers through 75% of its life cycle. Thx for sharing the info, and I’m sorry that it happened. Hopefully the smoke was good, for what it’s worth, it was nice watching regardless. I just can’t wait for a way to fight it successfully. Although most articles seem like doomsday scenarios.

i wouldn’t say so…
yes i’ve seen those comparisons and others.. not sure if you were following my grow but my buds were extremely hairy as well, that’s a sign of the viroid.. but buds should of been fatter with more resin content.. the buzz just wasn’t there.. it’s crossed with future one and that got me stoned!..
see my vanilla frosting at the end of 4 weeks has more trichomes than my finished imperium x plants..
