Powdery mildew, possible solution in testing

Sorry I don't have the before pics. Had no idea what would come of it, till a few days later. (Bang head )

But not far from my plants, in a fence of vined plants separating my neighbor, I noticed powdery mildew in a area under a lot of shade.

Fearful of spreading to my plants, I grabbed a spray bottle of cleaner/degreaser stuff I use on all kinds of things, and sprayed the mold with it. Figured it to kill the vegetation, as well. Mind u, most looked like the first pic, or worse.

It was mixed 20-80 water

Also while I seriously doubt it’s relevant in your case, PM is host specific. For years I thought I was a growing genius because all the California Poppies in my yard got PM every year, but it never spread to my plants. It was only recently that I found out the PM on poppies and cannabis are different species and cross‐infection doesn’t occur. (I mean, I’m still a genius and all, just not about PM apparently. )

Most things new, are discovered by accident. That's all I'm saying in this post.

I could've used many known things for PM, it just happened to be something outside the box, that's all but vanquished it, and left the foliage in good condition. Really...it was very heavy before application. Total leaf coverage for most of it in that area. It was also attacking several different plants, but mainly the one type of vine was the worst.

I'm just impressed with the results, is all. If I'd do it to my grow, is another thing.. I'm not suggesting anyone to go drown their plants in it, as the cure all, end all solution. But who knows, maybe it is... More testing, like anything else.

A solution of milk and water sprayed on the leaves works well to get rid of WPM.

I did try that a few times......i kept it at bay for a couple weeks and then another flare up!!
Dr Enzymes worked well too
I dod find the plants loved the milk spray and really looked extra healthy after each spray

What is your recipe for the milk spray? Oh, and how often did you spray?

I used a 500ml spray bottle, 3 quarter filled with milk a drop of Dawn dish soap and topped up with a little water. Sprayed with lights out, used a small dehumidifier for 2 days and kept the fans moving air around

Most fungal pathogens have a narrow window for the primary infection .. In a large comercial greenhouse without heating or humidity control you will typically see it at the same time coming into cooler weather and again moving back towards summer .. keeping night time temps through heating well above the favoured threshold and managing humidity is helpfull and used by many .. on a large scale it is expensive though... outdoors not alot you can do .. good air movement is about it .

Nah. Not worried....the tree above it all is covered in septoria, too. No worries. Or id have it by now. . I just stay away from it

I grew up with dirt roads, why I don't own a motorcycle.
