So I have always wondered if the power goes out in the middle of my 12/12 and it comes back on should I let it run till the end of the 12/12 cycle? I never know what's going to confuse em?

You can interrupt the 12 designated daylight hours anyway you want with darkness, but you can never interrupt the darkness hours with light.

Best of luck.
Peace

Couldn't say it any better^
Do adjust the watering slightly tho if needed until back on track. Ex: If you normally have to hit'em every 'morning' with water/food...a 6hr dark from the power outage during your lights-on phase will affect their water consumption...they'll be wet the next morning.
Minor...but a factor...

I'm not sure that the question has been answered clearly or not...

Did Seamaiden say,...

Once the power and lights go out, you must keep them off until your day light cycle starts again.

Don't know how you could answer it more clearly then shroomking did. If your dark cycle is being interrupted by power outages buy timers with batteries.

He said once it goes out, don't interrupt the cycle... But if the lights go out from a power outage, and stay off for three hours, then your plants think it's night again.
So now what?... don't turn the lights on again for 12 hours?

THAT'S how it's unclear.

The dark cycle..
You can't interrupt the dark/night period..

If the power outage is enough in the day cycle, to trick the plant that it is going back into the night cycle,... Can you turn the light back on until the schedule night cycle?

That is the question.

I lose power alot and just roll with it.meaning i dont change a thing,if power comes back during lights on time my lights come back on (digi timers)right away.i also run a generator sometimes after 4 or 5 hours of no power.
Shroomking pretty much covered it,just dont disrupt the dark cycle

It would depend how long the lights been on for before the cut.personally if the lights been on for more than 3/4 hours i would leave it to run the full dark cycle to be safe.its ok to add extra dark time but not light.but if its a one off thing it shouldnt really affect it too much.
