This is a blueberry widow that i planted mid November. I had major problems imported the seeds due to a postal strike in South Africa, so my season started 3 months late
Anyway. I took 5 cuttings on Saturday evening (19 Jan? Not sure the date, I was stoned). Then on Monday I saw white pistils.
My question: should I switch her to 10/14dark, or just let her do her thing? We currently get maybe 14light/10dark and she gets +8 hours of direct African sunlight.
The 3 plants from large to small:
Blueberry widow (fem)
Pineapple Kush (fem)
Northern lights (non-fem)
Well all depends on what are you planing to do.
1. Is this going to be a “full season” grow? Outdoor?
Then I would let nature take its course and allow the natural light pattern take course.
2. Is this an indoor? If so, has the plant been in vegatative state long enough? If so, then switch to 12/12 not 10-14.
3. If she is mature , then she will show signs via preflower.
4. All boils down. To what you want to do.
Thanks for the quick response. She’s been growing in a pot outdoors for 2 months. My intention was to leave her seasonal. I’m asking because she has the preflower so early in the season: is this normal for seasonal, or does she want to be switched.

Preflower occurs at maturity and because of low light, you did mantion she maybe only getting 8hrs, I’d suggest you supplement 4 hrs with an alternative light source, even a bulb hung over it for those low light period will keep her begging until the light outside changes to period of “fall” or below 12hrs of light
Thanks. I will do so. She’s getting 8 hours of direct sunlight light. Maybe 4 hours of shade in the morning and afternoon. I will definitely supplement the lights to keep her awake.

45w cfl above the plants, switched on when it got dark and off when I went to bed...maybe 4or5 hours. So now they get about 18 hours of light as follows:
8-10 direct sun
4-6 of shaded light in the morning and evening
4-5 of the cfl.
Will update next week or so.
This week’s mission is to get the single bulb to effectively keep my babies and clones awake as well, had 2 of the lights running last night, one in the indoor nursery and this outside light.

My friends. Thanks for the advice. I have kept the ladies under lights and they really stretched and some branches grew. I trimmed her and the branches stretched as well:) I’m ready to let her sleep at night. Her 4 clones are doing well :)
Thanks for the the advice. I kept her in veg for almost 6 weeks more. And she been in flower for the last 3 weeks. Definitely bushier with more side branches. Although she didn’t get much taller. The clones are ohhhh so awesome too!
The 2nd plant (taller one) is a pineapple Kush that Is 2 weeks younger, also in veg now
