I rototill every spring. First up I burn Everton my garden, spread the ashes. I also spread the ashes from my wood stove, 1-2 cords of wood. I collect Canada goose shit from a local source, they eat the grass there, crap every 2 square inches. I also collect seaweed and anything I find on the beach, crabs, shells , fish , jelly fish and throw it in the garden all winter. Sometimes up to 5 5 gallon buckets of dead bunker, a type of bait fish. When guys go scalloping, I get the guts and shells, in they go. Every gets rottotilled in. I use a minuscule amount of organic fertilizer from seven springs farms. I also throw some ground Thorvin kelp in when planting. I use a five day regiment of spraying plants with kelp, fermented in 5gal buckets. I get good results with everything. My biggest pest this year were baby rabbits, weed whacking around my fence ripped a few holes for entry. I’ll repair this winter.so far so good
