I am new to UC and i think I may have a problem. at transplant 300ppm@500scale they seem to love it but know they are showing deficient, water(68) air(75-78) ph swing(5.6-6.1)@48hrs, Roots look good, environment in check, I run Heisenberg's tea, water level 1 1/2"below net pot. To me they look overferted, locked out, and calcium deficient. Any input would be greatly appreciated. ProblemsProblems 2Problems 3Problems 4Problems 5Problems 6Problems 7Problems 8 Thanks

all I can say is start digging and reading duderr...your problem's likely been had, and your answer likely exists in one of these threads....or maybe post your thread in the infirmary...good luck.

looks like it could be over fert, or cal mag deficiency.
what base are you using?
does it require calmag on top? are you using RO or TAP water?
If not raise the water lvl slightly above the bottom of the netpot if you did not put your plant on the bottom of the net pot (2 inch buffer). otherwise you will get stem rot.

cut usage by 50% see if they pick up. if that is new leaf tip curl they are prob over ferted.

using sensi as base, add cal mag due to RO, every time water level is touching or in the pot they start drooping like they drowning.
i concur with the over fertilization or cal-mag deficiency from the research on the site. On friday I sprayed with epsom and added 2ml/g of cali magic, will post results. thanks for the input.

Hey bobby i fill your pain, checked out your thread awesome setup! The 3 strains that i have run in this system if that water is touching or up in the net pot they start drowning, so i keep mine a inch to inch and half below pot. Have you tried dropping waters level?
Thanks

Hey dude, Yeah my water level is just touching the bottom of the net pot but the new cc pots have a planting deck about 2 inches above the bottom to help prevent wicking. I think ive solved my problem. My air pumps were out side the grow room but still too close to the doors. I think the co2 was getting sucked into the air pumps and then into the pots causing serious problems. Ive turned all the co2 off and they have instantly perked up. Im gonna try a little cal mag so ill let you know how i go!. Are you you using co2??? if you are its worth looking where your pumps are!. Fingers crossed for ya bro!

Awesome, I hope that was the culprit. Yes I do run Co2 and my pumps are outside the room, but at the moment I need to refill the tank.
Best of Luck and going to watch your thread! Thanks.

Another bump for the UC/DWC/RDWC folks. These are not symptoms I've observed before, haven't worked with sealed environments nor CO2, UC, DWC, or RDWC.

when i start with rooted rockwool cubes . i put an inch of growstones at the bottom of the net pot . place cube on growstones and back fill with growstones . then i fill water in uc untill the net pots is about 1/2 inch in the water . i then top feed a couple times a day .until the roots are coming through the net pots into the water .once roots are in the water i drop the water level an inch or two below the net pots .
