Check out, therealseedcompany.com, don’t know about their legitimacy but it is an interesting site For Land race.

I was looking at their site last night. They look like they have some pretty cool strains and some good looking stuff. But like you said, don't know how legitimate they are but it does look interesting and that's definitely something I considered for sure. I noticed on Leafly they were showing pure landrace strains from all these different countries and saying that they harvest the seeds by hand. I seen a couple of the African strains that look pretty tempting the Thai strains.

Look pretty pricey, also. L O L. It seems a lot of these land race strains are not big yielders And not real potent. Compared to today’s Hybrid strains. Probably why the locals make hash out of it. But I don’t know anything about land race stuff. Just kind of guessing.

It isn't about the potency for me. It's about where it all began. It's supposedly supposed to be genetically unmolested true strains. The potency isn't a huge factor for me. It's just the tru strains from half a century ago.

That's the case. Then I can guarantee you 100% leading all the way up from last year when I moved from the south. There is definitely that strain around. Cuz there's plenty times you're going down these old backcountry roads and that humid south and you can clearly smell the skunkiness. And we all know it isn't a skunk but a plant. I'll see if I can't get a hold of some of my buddies down south. See if they might have any idea where to get some.

I live in West Virginia and grow an old school skunk strain, the current batch im growing all varying degrees of purple going on almost everywhere on the plant, purple stems, some purple into the stem of the leaves (or totally purple stems) and veining on the leaves themselves sometimes..it varies a little but all of this years are purples.

Same here! Even still I’ve had landrace strains that were potent & a lot of landrace indices are good yielders. Obviously potency & yield are breed out but that doesn’t mean they’re aren’t heavy hitting landraces. I believe Durban poison is landrace & my buddy grew for yrs. I found it quite strong.

This strain is particular wild in terms of growth characteristics. It grows faster and a good bit larger than all the other pot Ive grown.

I won't be surprised if they out do 14- 15' of vertical growth last year and colas as long as my arm.

Heres hoping the rest all goes right.

I was tying them along the ground but stopped that when a main stem split.

ATM they are a bit over 6' plus theres 3 1/2' of horizontal growth before I let them continue up.

I have a bag seed that is what is supposed to be Carolina blue. If I'm not mistaken from a seedling, it had nice healthy green stock and stems. Throughout the grow. I noticed maybe one or two leaves had a couple purple stems but all in all she grew very healthily. Now. Granted the fan leaves are not super big which could be genetics. She is kind of short. I'm going into flower and it's only 4 ft tall. Of course I have it bushed out which that is due to LST. I've never had this problem where it had regular green stems and right here at pre flower going into flower. My fan leaf stems and some of the stocks are turning purple. My plants leaves are not dark green but they never have been. They've been like a medium green. There's no dead on the plant. I inspected all of the plant and I see no other signs of stress or damage. Not too sure if the low height or growth on this plant is genetics because this is a first time I've grown it. Like I said it's from bag seed so I have no idea about the genetics. I also can't find much on the Carolina Blue dream strain online so I have no references. Can you guys please take a look at some of the pictures I'm about to upload and see if y'all can see any type of deficiency with this plant? I have grown for the last 5 to 6 years outdoor and indoor and believe it or not. This is the first time I've ever had a plant turn purple going into flower like this. Usually the purple strains I have grown typically have purple stems at a very young age and veg. I have seven more plants outside with this plant in the same ground. These are all planted in ground. Exact same compost I used for planting them in the ground. All of them get the exact same nutrients exact. Same water on my other plants. Besides one are all healthy and green. The one other plant I have out here with purple stems...

So funny, I just uploaded these purple stemmed clones on my diary page to see what's up. I wonder if we are in a similar boat?

I have 2 clones this year that have purple leaf stems. But I do know it's genetics. When I took the clones they had nice green stems. Once they took root they changed colors. It's the future#1 strain. Funny thing is it changed to purple stems while it was in the heat wave the other week. I don't think it's stress from the heat but genetics. The future #1 definitely has wild characteristics. It's definitely heavy sativa but grows like a indica. The leaves are thin and long, small stocks and stems, the whole plant is whispy and bud sites have long gaps. But it is growing very bushy and is only 4/5 ft tall. She is heavily growing outward not upwards.

Here is my future #1 mother plant and clone. I tried to get a close up of the purple stems coming off the leaves and the very wispy branches. The clone that I have in the pot doesn't grow the main stock up. I have not topped it or offended or anything. Naturally all the side shoots and branches are growing very long and wispy. It's sativa dominated but it's going heavily like a indica. Don't think I done to my cologne that is growing in the pot is I pulled the branches back with little metal stakes so they wouldn't get all bunched up or anything. But like I said, it refuses to grow tall on the main stem. But you can look at the leaves and tell that it's definitely more heavy on the sativa side.

Looks like light burn to the Stems which is why the underside is green. This is a good thing and I always get it once I crank the lights up.

It could be light stress. I don't think the future strain is stress. The new growth in the center where no light penetrate turned purple and before I planted outdoors it turned purple leaf stems and my lights was at 70% so not strong at all. From everything that I learn from these guys on the forum it seems like it's just predestined to be genetics. I'm only using my future number. One strain as an example. No. My Carolina blue dream I like to reiterate that I've never grown that strain before. It is a backseat plant. I don't know too much on the genetics since I can't find much of anything online about the strain. I'm assuming that the genetics of the Blue dream is what's turning it red all the sudden. I could be wrong. There's very little about the Carolina reaper but what I could see it did have some purple hues to it. All in all I'll come to accept. It. Looks healthy. It looks strong. It doesn't look like it's got any viral infections. Very minimal bugs so I think it's just naturally going to be a purple breed.

I still have some of those GDP seeds (from Blimburn Seeds) left from that grow. I'll probably pop them again early 2023. It's a heavy yielding plant!

I'm most impressed with my largest girl of the three. Full of these large tops loaded down with good nodes Ill have fun watching them fill in.

If you zoom stems you'll notice that one getting more and more purples as time goes by. I might get "lucky" with big colouration on this one. If I was after colours. Not so much as I'd like good strong fire weed mainly. She can be green with purple polka dots for all I care

But of course I will take some peeps when shes in bloom.

Its too early to tell. The top on the other girl is also nice and robust.

You've got some nice early flower action going on there!

Yes, it's much more important that the plants finish before fall weather turns the grow up side down. The purple is beautiful coloration ... but that's what it is, color. The fire is what we want in the end.

Could be, its still very nice. You've got solid alternate nodes going on there. If each of those have more than a couple of white hairs ... you're beginning to flower. You're real close if you're not there yet.

I've got 8 plants in my greenhouse. 6 have been flowering since 7/20 and the other 2 are just about to start. All my plants outside are "Fast" versions ... They usually are about 2 weeks ahead.
