Im sure this is answered somewhere but I cant seem to get a direct answer. I am fairly new to growing, but I have some experience growing corals which is similar in a lot of ways esp. the lights. Right now I am running two tents, one for veg, one for flower, one has 2 600w led and one has 1 600w led both with bloom veg switches. The first plant that is ready for flower stage, was grown under 1x 600 with both spectrum switches on. I am curious to know if I would get better results running it under 2x 600w with just the bloom switches on. I dont know how it affects par and all that as it seems when I turn off the veg switch some of the leds turn off. Has anyone ever experimented with this?

The manufacturer of my light said to use veg switch only for seedlings and clones, once you have good root structure, both switches on, but adjust the height of the light accordingly.

For flower stage, you need to turn on both switches. Don't turn off the veg switch, there is some spectrum that the flower need

What’s the actual power cause amazon seem to miss label there leds
I got 4 600w leds
Actual power 98w
Ended up with really airy buds bout 3 oz was not worth it
Done the veg fine but look for a hps or something for bloom
Just my advice

I have not actually figured out that math yet, but I got some par readings a while back from the first light with a buddies quantum sensor and they werent bad. imo alot of these lights are very similar, companies assemble the same parts from manufacturers and put their logo on it, very similar to the lights I have to grow my corals. Like I mentioned I am still an amateur and experimenting with what works. I do think thats good advice, I am looking around for something to help out, but Im afraid of the temp swings from a hps

It draws 95w if I’m correct
You’ll need like 4 per plant if you wanna see nice buds

Remember you typically get .5 to 1g per watt
Some advanced growers get 1.5-2g
But that’s a whole other debate than lights

I STRONGLY recommend doing some reading on the pros and cons of HPS, LED etc.

Unfortunately your LED is exactly what LED misinformation is all about. The importers of the Burple lights are notorious for this crap. The better lights are the HLG, Kingbrites etc, that use Samsung White SMDs. There are many threads here and elsewhere on the merits of each! Read before you spend.

I'm running 2 blurple 235 actual watts each, 4 double bulb T5 HO and 2 Mars Hydro SP-250's. I think you want something more for your flower tent. Your light will work for vegging IMO as long as you're not in a hurry.
Heat, low ceiling and ventilation is my problem with HID and HPS.

Im with you about LED misinformation. The whole idea behind buying these cheaper lights was that I was going to upgrade, but I didnt think they were THAT inefficent, again, I saw the output on a quantum sensor and its exactly what was advertised.

What about something along the lines of this?
