I apologise right now for the length of my post.
So, just to give you an idea of what I'm doing. We have a large-ish outbuilding that used to be an office, I have no idea about the size of this building to be honest, but the ceiling is probably 10-feet high. I decided to block off a corner of the room to do my grow. Just to say, the previous tenant before us was using this building to grow weed and he left behind cut up pieces of a grow tent, so I took those pieces and used them to block off this corner area as my grow space. Anyway, I currently have 5 plants that are doing really well, and I also have 6 seedlings that are looking good. I am hoping to grow them both together and even though the "seedlings" might not get to be the same size, that's okay. Someone commented that 11 plants in my space, which is about 4-foot wide by 5-feet deep, might not be big enough. I'm not sure. Once I get my final fabric pots, I can put them in place and see how much space they will take up. I've got 2 lights in there now, and if they aren't enough, I will get another, but that's not the issue for now.
So, what I'm posting about is this. I've heard that I need to provide CO2 for my plants. I've read about CO2 packets, but seeing that this building is quite large and I cannot completely enclose my plants, I'm not sure how I can provide enough CO2. Is CO2 really something I will need? The building has all the windows blocked out, so the entire building, not just my growing space, is completely dark when the lights are off, even in daytime. The reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking if I need a bit more space, I can move things out a bit, that's not really an issue. I have the whole building. But I'm worried that I won't be able to provide enough CO2, and I really can't afford to spend too much more than what I've already spent.
I'm sorry to ramble, it's just that while I've got a good green thumb with normal plants, I feel a bit overwhelmed with all the information that websites, YouTube videos and others say I need for a successful grow. I've got too much invested at this point to give up, but I am hoping I can make it work with what I have.
Any thoughts?
