Question about trimming the plant

The plant I really have a question about is the tame 5-6footer plant . It's starting to flower obviously (it's Aug in NE Ohio) but this is only my 2nd year and I've read a lot. Of different tips and etc etc. but I feel like when I see other cannabis plants outdoors in the ground it's definitely trimmed up more. Should I gives this girl a haircut to make it flower better and bigger or just leave it alone . The other plant I have is already past the point of no return at almost 13ft so idk even what. To do what that thing but it's also on like week 5ish of flower ... Any ideas or tips or how or what should I trim to help the plant . It's extremely bushy

Ive had off and on problems with bugs such as Japanese beetles, plant hoppers and etc. when I notice it I use sevendust and works great atleast for a little

one in pot is a capt mix,.
a maui waui crossed with something hence the name mix,.
the other one i breed with unknown seeds, so no name yet,..

a maui waui crossed with something hence the name mix,.
the other one i breed with unknown seeds, so no name yet,..

I like removing the larf from the interior of the lower branches that don't receive much lite, and will never amount to anything at harvest. Also all of the older yellowing fan leaves at the base of each branch, nearest the main stalk, and next node up the branch. Just the first 1/3 of the plant height from ground.

I just want air and light penetration.

Yeah I technically grow them in my mother back yard because my apartment wouldn't be a good place for them to be out in the open so my mother back yard has fences around it . Kinda shit out of luck with the 12-13 footer cus it goes above the fence . But yah that's over by Eastwood and 91 area . I live by the Goodyear old HQ area lol. I got northern lights 2 legendary punch 1 pink mist . Then in my apartment grow set up indoors I got a auto purple lemonade and a auto northern lights . I had a seed of autos that were sour diesel and bubble kush but then seeds we're duds
