EVERYTHING SAYS AS NEEDED HOW DO I KNOW IF ITS NEEDED? So many of these deficiencies look the exact same.

So far I've been doing a single dose before or around the time of first tiny pistols, but then after that I really don't know what I'm doing.

Like how is this the full instructions?
How to Use:
Shake well before use. Mix 1 tsp (5 mL) per gallon (4 L) of water. Begin use just before bud development. Continue use as needed, not more than once per week.

If you’re already feeding CalMag there’s a pretty good chance that you don’t have a Calcium or Magnesium problem. Was this something that you were using as a part of a system of nutrients or was it due to plant issues?

If you were having signs of a problem with a plant, please post a picture of the problem and a picture of the whole plant.

you start at the bottom of the plant.doesnt matter if you lst and now all is same height follow the main stalk.
the bottom should start getting different color green between the veins.when it starts getting worse its yellow. if you leave it for a long time leaf dryes from the edges inside and its like a brown color but vains are not that much noticible at that point

No problems so far that I've been able to notice. So far just sticking with the n00b fox farms trio, and a single dose of calmag when they go into flower. The only reason for my question is I just spent too much on some good seeds with the 420 sales, and I want understand calmag better. Because the reddit forums say calmag literally on every thread. Idk what's fact of fiction, and I'm not seeing many feeding schedules that include calmag.

And thanks @amneziaHaze that's probably the best real discription I've seen. The photos that constantly get posted are useful, but it's just so hard to decern one from the other. Feels like 50 shades of green.

CalMag is used like a BandAid on Internet forums. When you grow with high intensity LEDs, you will typically see a higher demand for CalMag or if you grow in Coco Coir, I’m told it’s a must due to the inert properties of the medium. But in general, most nutrients have a bit of CalMag already and there’s not a dire need for it unless your plants are showing signs of a deficiency. More marketing gimmick than necessity 98% of the time.

Follow the Instructions!!! Pretty straight forward, Relax, not a big deal. Some CalMag is only meant to be given at start of flower only. 5ml seems a little much. Personal recommendation is feed 2-3ml if you're planning on feeding once a week until harvest. Or, just feed it one time at 5ml and see how your plants react. If your garden is healthy and plants happy why fiddle with it.

I mean the instructions are vague and unhelpful that's why I'm here it says add as needed and idk when that is boss. What you said in this comment is 3x more info than the bottle says. This is very helpful thank you.

What's vague about: at the start of flower add 5ml to a gallon, then taking that and watering at whatever amount you water at. Then watch your plants for a week and do the same thing over "if" needed. I'm saying if you choose to feed calmag throughout flower once a week cut if back to 2ml or 3ml per mix. None of us can read your plants you' gonna have to learn by experience and experiment to do that.

Most municipal water sources have a good supply of both Mg & Ca. If you’re using tap you can normally find a breakdown on the water companies website.

Good point mancorn! Could argue you don't really need to apply calmag except maybe as a micro dose a couple times during the grow. It's all about experimenting and finding out what works for you.

Here's a graph based on tissue testing that approximates a "typical" cannabis plant's need for Ca and Mg (and S) over the course of a grow. How often to supplement will depend on your feeding regimen...both what and how often you're feeding. In an amended soil with RO or low EC tap water, I add calmag to every non-feed watering starting three weeks from seed. I start at 50 ppms, and bump it 50 ppms if I see increasing purpling on the stems and bottom of petioles. After week three of flower, I switch from calmag to magnesium sulfate.

Yea, science has been missing here! TY. Epsom Salt something I need to do. Mg is just below NPK in importance. Epsom Salt/Crushed Eggshells
