Hi guys I had a question my solo cup seedlings are about two weeks into the growing process and one of the seedlings roots are already poking through and the other is just about to have the same problem my question is I know I have to transplant at this point but into what size container should I transplant? Also this is my first time growing my own so please forgive me if I’m doing a lot of things wrong lol

man, be careful wth the overwaterings .. they are already lightly clawing, i advise you to do some more waterings in these solo cups .. and repot when you have to water it everyday or the other eventually .. soil need oxygenation before every watering

Is that the only light you have? I hope not, cause that's not really gonna cut it. Fine for starting seeds but that's about it.

Yea I have to water everyday now so I will definitely be repotting them sometime today I was thinking about using two 5 gallon buckets I have to replant them in but is the soil I’m using good to use for repotting them with or should use I something else? Also Have to get another bulb which do you suggest?

as a final container i would not use anything over 1.5 gal .. you want to water every 2/3 days . if you repot in a 5 gal it will take weeks to dryout

Think you light is a bit to close would also back it off and as suggested you will need a much bigger light in terms of wattage.

I mean to start maybe a 400-600w MH/HPS of you wanna stay on the lower end of cost. What you have is good for seedlings and house plants.

Know that running any HID will require serious ventilation or an AC, or both. Running an LED is cooler but you still need fresh air ventilation.

To grow pot, you can expect to spend $300-$500 on lighting and ventilation for a small basic grow done properly. Cheaper if you hunt around for used equipment.

Ive never run LED so what do I know lol, just going off what I read here. Either way, point is they'll need ventilation of some sort and that needs to be considered regardless what light they choose. Or there is always the Londonbud style of rocking an array of incandescent and CFLs lol.

aint shitting bro ,i couldnt keep this tent under 85 degrees with both them, even wide open exhaust couldnt get it cool enough and plants suffered from it,so let me rewrite what i said,in a tent with forced air only,no ac no heat, just what mother nature provides they aint worth 2 cents and hot as hell, thats a big difrence i think and will have folk neutral on thought of using them, another thing is always heard the make tighter buds, nope didnt happen, honestly even with my veggies i have under them right now arent doing great either, they got 1 more week and out comes the hid lights hahahah,i should have had my brocille and cauliflower outside 3 weeks ago, damn doctors are really steaming me right now,not a excuse for laziness though, they pass a law were everyone has to have insurance or penalized,so i go to the heart doctor and they tell me they dont take humana gold plus, one of the best providers, all good, damn women went and made another apointment with new doc, they are struck as to why the first doc wouldnt see me and even out of her own mouth and on speaker phone said reason behind it is some doc dont wont to negotate prices of service, well hell what happened to patient care right ,all about the bucks, hahahahah this women needs to let up cause a secret is im gonna die everyone is hahahah

dont bother with the leds . or even with red spectrum cfl .. if the weather is cool where you live you could get a 250watt hps for those 2 plants ...( soon is the winter, if its cold like where i live you wont need any exhaust, just a small fan to circulate te air ..)

you will just have to veg few week more

LEDs are not all created equally. That I can assure you. Quantum LEDs using Samsung 301 or OSRAM diodes are much more efficient than burples. A meanwell driver is much more efficient than the ones included in self contained burple lights which in and of themselves put off lots of heat. A quantum board with a meanwell driver will not raise ambient temps much if any at all.
