Raising my Oregon med price.

Thanks to the State of Washington selling meds[recereational cannabis] at $25.00 to $30.00 a GRAM; I have decided to raise my price to $700.00 an ounce. I should be able to break even selling 'C' bud, with no crystals, and effect fairly soon.

Kidding of course, but this does seem a little ridiculous. I sure hope Oregon does not go down this same road.

It'll go up until more go legal. In Colorado recreational is from 25-75$/8th

It's ridiculous, I know. The black market will continue to thrive a long as the gov is this greedy. But that probably suits many. Ton of money to be made..

The way the current intiative is written the OLCC is in charge of the new system. There are rules already established, but I imagine they can make 'changes' as they see fit. I just hope they are watching the mess as it unfolds in Washington.

The main issues I have with the intiative[medical, not recreational] is I can only have four 'mature' plants at a time. Currently it is six, but will change to four per 'location', not per card. First; what constitutes 'mature'? Second; location not cards is the new key. Third; the OLCC can do a random spot check when ever they want.

I may encourage my patients to vote no once again as I did last time due to all the cutbacks I would have to make to be State certified for medical purposes.

For the sake of argument I will not go into recreational grows and the new statutes as I will not go down this road while it is illegal in the Feds eyes.

I encourage everyone to vote NO on new approach. It limits the public's abilities/rights and strengthens the states. As always this is bad.. MMMMKAY!!

I think a mature plant is defined as a plant that is 12"x12". Can't imagine any cop who comes knocking is going to be enforcing that.

So instead of having 6 mature plants per card holder, the law will change to 4 mature plants per location?!?

Does this new law pertain to Medical as well as Recreational grow sites?

BTW. It is not the police who will be enforcing to site inspections, it will be the OLCC...

Legalizing MJ is a horrible idea right now. We must wait till the time is right, not rush it. We the people have leverage here because.....#1 the majority vote will be in our favor #2 the law is not prosecuting like they were, unless you have guns or evading taxes. #3 the state cannot afford to prosecute pot heads #4 go to trial and they will be hard pressed to have all jurors convict a pot head....with these in mind what will we (the marijuana community) offer

thoughtless bill that they can control and benefit from. We must vote No until they put effort into writing a bill that deserves millions of dollars a year from us. Until then keep it the way it is and keep building momentum, keep pushing them to make it acceptable for us.

It wasn't supposed to change medical in Washington either. I'm happy the way things are now and voting no. It's already legal in oregon, if you haven't got a card you haven't tried.

My biggest concern is they'll stop trade and compensation to patience.since it won't be a licensed buisness.all we need is trafficking for trading some sativa for indica between patients.

Regardless of how the vote turns out for recreational cannabis in Oregon- the more growers that show up at the grower association meetings the better. The majority of policy making has yet to be determined so becoming a unified voice and lobbying the legislation in favor of small(er) growers is everyone's responsibility. Come and listen to what our goals are and how we can all affect the future landscape.

In other news..
The price for concentrate grams is going up in Portland I can tell you that much.
After testing, processing, and packaging- labels and all- the cost of getting quality meds to market is pushing prices up.

My point of view is that the OLCC will create changes that make small growers obsolete if we don't organize and speak out against said changes. The changes are coming regardless if we like them or not
