RDWC 4 Buckets by WeeDoxic Started

whats your opinion about these brown dots ? is it about low EC (0.5) or Calcium deficiency I think those leaves are resting on the lid overnight when they are not turgid

I would just keep your ph stable daily---especially when it comes times to top off and as they get bigger. That was my biggest learning curve. If those nutes your using keep your ph stable I am going to look into them on my next hydro project. Your a little overconcerned about your light reflecting. If your lights are hot enough now to increase your temps I would be surprised. Maybe during a test run with your lights before planting that was the case but the canopy is going to fill out. I too would remove that from the lids.

1 degree.

Fuck mate I had my roots at 35 degrees through a heat wave in rdwc.

Great white shark is awesome. Saved my roots from rotting at that temp

I increased PH by addind right dose of Silicate . 5.5 to 5.95
now 5.95 is ok
but the EC is too low : 0.6 . is it ok to add some tap water to increase to 1.3 ?
My ro water tds is 8
tap water 560 ppm

I would think tap water would also raise your pH and not have any good in it as far as EC goes?
Maybe just add a little food?
Your pH is at the upper limit IMO already?

I would always try to top off with your nutrients then adjust your pH levels. I wouldn't add any of your tap water. Find yourself some windows you are happy with in regards to pH and EC and just keep it in that range---as long I was in my window I was happy. There were times I could get things "dialed in" but never could keep it there. Monitor and adjust daily because all plants eat/drink differently.

dont use tap water to increase EC. nutrient ratios are super important. Increase your EC based on plant response to nitrogen using your nutrients in proper ratios

Ec is nothing more than a total of the nutrients. Its almost meaningless if you throw your ratios out of whack. If you want to raise EC you raise it equally with all nutrients not a single source at that can throw your ratios out.

remember EC is not a single nutrient its all combined. You adjust the EC based on the reaponse to nitrogen.

But whenever you increase or decrease EC you increase or decrease your nutrients equally… NEVER just add a single source just to reach a certain EC

She's eating. You went from .7 to .6 EC
I would try to increase EC, but keep your pH from climbing anymore.
I believe 6.1 is the upper limit for pH? If you could drop pH also a little that would be best IMO?
Plant and roots look good~!

This might be one of the cheapest ways to chill your grow. Buy a used water cooler off kijiji or facebook market place ( $15- $35 ), one that you would normally put a 5 gal jug in the top. Now tear it apart so that you are left with the compressor and the cooling coil. Some of the cooling coils are coated in a protective plastic and some are not. If the one you have doesn't have a protective coating on it just wrap a plastic bag around the coil so you don't get any oxidation in your nutrients. Place the coil directly into your nutrient reservoir. Buy a device that will monitor your water temp. I use the Inkbird ITC-308 ($50). Plug the compressor into the cooling plug on the device and set your water temps, I set my water temp at 67 deg and set the turn on temp at +2 deg (69). In the first pic you can see that the coil has a protective coating on it and in the second one, it doesn't.
