I'm seeing amber trichomes on 3 of the plants buds (not just the leaves). 3 of them look to be ready while the other 3 are not quite yet. I have lowered the temperature of the room in hopes to speed up the process and increase potency. The sugar leaves have started to turn purple and the fan leaves have started to yellow and fall off. Should I defoliate and wait a week to harvest all together?

I would, those leaves are more of a drain now than a benefit anyway. At this stage any stress is irrelevant and could end up being beneficial, the plant won't take its trichomes back lol. Plus you're going to be up to your armpits come harvest day anyway, might as well lighten the load a bit.

What strains have you got there?

There's a Toad venom plant in my latest project at a similar stage, very similar colours and very similar buds, good luck with whatever you chose to do, nice plant

On the old yeller one i'd remove all the old dying leaves. On the rest of them i'd just take the lower yellow leaf off and if you got anymore big fan leaf on your plants that are ripening i'd start taking those off also. I personally strip the heck out of them when i'm preparing to harvest them and i let them dry out abit in the pot in the tent.

I don't touch the leaves during flushing, unless they are fully yellowed out as pale as possible for fear of the buds taking those remaining tiny micro amounts of nitrogen that could've been expelled through remaining foliage. I worry too much though and so much is down to personal choice. Here's a pic of a bud from the toad venom plant I was mentioning earlier. Good luck with everything
