Looking to set up 2x4 with two lights, my thinking is I could control footprint better to possibly have seedlings on one side and a auto flower on the other and be able to control height better… I have a 5x5 I plan to flow with for photos etc.

what dual light combo would you recommend for a 2x4?

For a 2'x4' space, you could get 2 of the SF1000 lights or similar 100 watt board style led, each is rated for a 2x2 area.

I used 2 Mars Hydro TS1000 for my first grow in a 2x4 and got well over 1/2 kg of pure flower
If you go fo the SF1000 SpiderFarmer I would get 3 of them.

Bar style is great for the area very versatile with a 240wt migro aray is perfect for the area and they are very easy to use at two different levels of height. You can remove the central bar and then it is not governed by one height. Or they have a 120/30wt version for you to get it to be completely independent if you prefer the two lights that you are looking at £400.00 ish and the 240wt is a bit less expensive but it has more flexibility to move elsewhere in two different lights . You are going to be getting good results with these lights in the quality of the fruits it’s a very good light Depending on what you’re thinking about spending of course and your location is important for your shipping price. Hope that helps Peace

basicly it comes down to how much money you can spend on lighting __ have found that Quantum Boards are great because of the heat issue, - less heat because there are no fans running, ect. In your 2by4 space no fans will be needed to cool area but needed for better air ventilation

in a 2x4 tent, controlling heat is going to be an issue with too many lights. I know cause right now i'm running a 400watt hps plus a 90 watt led in mine. Its the winter but my tent will still get up to 90 if I didn't have my exhaust dialed.

We have a 2x4 with a pair of SF1000's. It's great, but I would add a third one. Just because I like zero shadows cast.

I run 300w in a 2 x 4. 2 x 100w in a 2 x 4 is not enough for my liking. I know they all claim a 100w will flower a 2 x 2 and it will, but 300w makes better buds in my set up.
