I was trying to look around and see if this had already been answered yet, but all I kept seeing was referring back to LST and I think my plant may be to tall for that already.

I'm sure its quite obvious that I'm a first time grower. I've grown one 6 ft bush before years ago and wasnt smart enough to know how to bud it. (I knew nothing of on/off light schedules and basically kept it vegging for about 4 months before having to trash it.)

This time, I'm really trying to do it. I've read article after article and put together a small cheap setup in my closet. But my oldest plant that I did separate from soil (she's in a single plant hydro setup) is super tall and is just now starting to get decent leaves on the top after me having horrid lighting issues in there. I originally cheap skated on some LEDs that sucked and messed up and got a daylight uvb light.

Now its on cfls all of them 6500k and the top is starting to look really healthy. But im wondering since she is so tall with no leaves until you hit the top, is there a way to make her get bushier still or is this pretty much a lost cause now? These were kinda of a trial run. Some dank seeds a friend had, but I'm trying to get the kinks out before the auto flowers come in the mail. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

They're on their down time right now so i pulled her aside to take a pic. You can still kinda see my burnt tips from the previous issues

Everything in the center is now flourishing a beautiful non burnt green. But all the previous ones were burnt/lost

You could try and tie the tip down as far as you can.
Loop a pcs of string around the top and pull it down to the pot ,without breaking it. Then tie the string to the pot.
The plant will then start growing back up towards the light.
STR8

Would i do that to the bigger outter ones or the inside ones?

I have more seedlings started. Id just like to try to save it for better experience in case i come across problems in the future again.

What is the colored stuff in your medium? And I second gnome bro it's not really a loss rn and if you have the time I'd say scrap and get it Goin he right way pimp.

I didnt have much to keep her sturdy as its a perilite medium in the bottom topped with small rocks just to keep her stable. My other seedlings are only about 6 days old right now. It just sucks because when she was first started she was the healthiest plant I had an I guess i ruined her.

Bro sht like that happens all yhe time. These are some picky plants brother. But you'll get it right it's just trial and error

Well I decided last night to take her out of the water tank, pot her and try to LST. And to my surprise.... the difference between last night and now. I also trimmed off that 2 really bad leaves as well.

It kind of looks like you may have broken the stem right down there at the soil line?

Your time would be better spent tossing this one and just starting over, but I very much get where you are coming from wanting to learn. Take the LST yarn stuff off, it isn't doing anything. Get a straw (cut lengthwise so it can slip around teh main stem) or some sort of little platic piece, basically you are going to want to make a splint around the part of the plant that broke. Then use some tape and tape that splint in place to help support the plant in an upright position...give it a few weeks and it should/could heal up, you will just have a weird looking lump right there...or my eyesight sucks and there is not a weird looking bend right there. If it doesn't turn around in a week or two though, just cut your losses.

She seems to be doing a lot better. And yeah there is a bend there but her stalk wasnt hard enough to break so its almost like pinched and then bent. Ive already started new. Just basically practicing things with her now really. Lol

I agree best plan is start new seeds but still work these plants as a good learning experience.
Your plants have a serious stretch issue. This is often caused by light being to far away making the plant expend its growth energy into becoming taller instead of putting on the leaves that will lead to lush, strong plants with many bud sites.
The other cause of stretch is too much hot nitrogen (N).
Your cfl,s should be only a very few inches above the canopy (growing green tops of branches). They want very little fertilizer the first couple weeks of seedling growth.

Well she is still trying to live. This plant must be a beast because she just wont die. Lol
