Hello farmers,
Its time to get the old water chiller out of storage and give another run at MPBs.
I want to emulate DoubleDs 10 LB MPB as closely as possible and wanted to see what you guys are thinking about the plumbing.
It appears to me he is only using 2" PVC as drainage and has done away with 6" all together but there arent any definative pictures just clues as to what the acual plumbing is.
He shows us one bucket that has 2 2" PVC drains but other pictures appear to not have the same drains perhaps even only 1 2" PVC drain in some. It also looks as though the two drains are at different heights which makes me believe he is running them similar to an undercurrent with pumps going into each bucket.
Bucket ----2"PVC---- Bucket---- Res (with the outside bucket elevated)
This would explain why some buckets appear to have 2 2" PVC drains and others do not and it would also makes sense that this is the case
Also he talked alot of about this proving the strength of drippers / root chamber dimensions and I feel this is because he changed many of the elements of his system which he believed were causing the high yields (ie the the suana like splashing of water caused by the 6" PVC.
I also see alot of pumps sitting on the floor which may be being used to pump the water but I think this would be too complicated and the 2" Under Current style system is more plausible and very simple to recreate probably just air pumps to run those 16 air stones he has per chamber.
Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated....in fact encouarged.
